Anybody install wheel spacers for tC? If so, recommend any particular size? 20? 25mm?

depending on your tire size I wouldn't go higher then 15mm... 20 and 25mm is getting out there....

H&R make them and i am debating myself it I will get no rubbing with a 15mm spacer.... If you do tell us if it does!

if you get thick spacers that are more than 10mm, make sure they are hub centric. what are you trying to do with spacers? buy a set of wheels with bad offset?

yes, i surf around the web, and it seems that H&R is the only one to produce the wheel spacers. their selection is from 5 to 25 mm. I was thinkinig of 15mm but don't know if it's gonna rub or not with stock rim and tires. I wish anybody knows about this. but i guess not.

10mm would be perfect... I guess you could find a machine shop and make them 10mm if you really want....

If your going to get spacers, only go with HR, they are quality products that wont fall apart on you. I quote

What size spacer would I need to move my stocks just about flush with the outside of the fender?

OneTonGarage (http://www.onetongarage.com) also makes spacers.

Van (oneton) does not make spacers for our cars..

Here's what I'm afraid of. My friend at work is quite the racer and the racing community. The thing about spacers that he said that you'll notice a lot more vibrations because of it. You may handle better, but you'll notice that they are there, in a not so good way. So he doesn't recommend them

how can i tell if theyll rub? is there a specific place to measure?

On my last vehicle, I rode on spacers and adapters (I had a set of 18" K-Sport FWD wheels on a '94 ranger) and I can honestly say that you do feel more vibrations, but not much more than having a larger-than-stock wheel size and not much sidewall. I rode those wheels without the spacers and adapters for a while before I found the correct adapters, so I had a good idea of the ride with and without them. If the quality of the spacer is good and the lugs are torqued to specification, I'd be willing to bet the average person couldn't tell the difference. I wouldn't recommend using spacers on a car that has a lot of torque, but if need be, I'd get longer wheel studs and an open ended lug with lots of thread.

hmmmm what is he running? 30mm+? Porsches have been running big spacers for years and have no problems... I had 12mm SK spacers on my allroad and felt nothing hmmmm.

I dunno, but he drives this souped up acura integra, lots of performance mods, including wheels weighing 12lbs each!

Heh, that's my bad... I keep forgetting that the tC is a different animal.

OK, I just checked out onetongarage, and first of all they dont even make spacers for the tC yet. Secondly they dont come with new bolts, which means your going to be loosing thread, which I am personally kind of nervous about. There is a reason our cars came from the factory with as many threads for the lug nuts as it did. Without longer bolts to make up for the threads lost in the spacer, I dont know what the effects would be.

i was thinking about the 5mm spacers to help fill the car out a lil more. not sure if i'm gonna do it yet.
