I spent MORE than the bare minimum on my suspension!!!
What's your functional suspension setup?
Mine:
Hotchkis Sport rear sway bar
Front bar disconnected
Koni yellow strut inserts/shocks
Ground Control coil over sleeves
Eibach springs 400lbs front/700lbs rear
It cost me more than $200.
I didn't buy one piece on eBay.
I did my best to buy from a face.

i think a thread like this has been made already but here's mine
Function & Form Type-2 coilovers
(8kg springs f/r, thinking of switching the front to 12kg)
TRD front strut bar
TRD rear sway bar w/ES bushing
DME rear strut bar
Energy suspension motor mounts
BFGoodrich G-sport tires (do tires count too?)
Want to get the Energy Suspension master bushing kit

However, I wouldn't recommend it unless you have at least 400lb springs (the corners have more work to do) and serious dampers to handle serious springs.
For autocross, the car feels a little looser, but turns a LOT better. Even with 400lb springs, Ive bottomed out on a downhill, bumpy turn. That club decided against that design after that.
That is one of the adjustments I credit with me finally beating my rival's Impreza after 4 years of trying.
Hotchkis Springs (wish I could get something else, it's too low and too soft)
DG Spec Rear Swaybar
Tokico HP Shock/Strut
Camber bolts with -2F -1R
Looking at possibly getting Ground Control/Konis eventually.

Generic STB, Hotchkis springs + sways here, soon to be on Ksports (whenever I get around to installing them)...that are (gasp) NOT slammed as low as possible, and still allow my front suspension to function!
Soon to be upgrading to general gmax as-03's as well.

KW Variant 2 Coilovers
TRD rear sway bar
Continental CSC3 tires
(no strut bar, no harness bar)
I tried to spend a little less than 2 (thousand)...and I missed it by $40 bucks after alignment.
The best benefit to spending more on these is in the 2 years I've had them on my car and numerous autox events, I haven't had to repair a damn thing.

From experience, KWs are awesome, but quite stiff on the ride around town if your streets are littered with pot holes like ours are.
Yeah.
I've got some pretty stiff springs that have given some awakening drives, but On the whole, the tC suspension surprises me at how good the ride can be with serious springs. I'm using 700rear/400front, and am looking to raise rates a bit for 2012. I don't feel like I can go much higher for street driving though. The trick is finding that fine line...

mrexotica, I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again because I know after almost 2 years of ownership with these coils that there are zero problems.
