View Full Version : CreativeCompacts - Body Kit PHOTOS RELEASED
CreativeCompacts 03-24-2005, 01:10 AM Just trying to get the news stirred up a bit and let everyone know that our company will be privately manufacturering a body kit for the tC. We started development on the kit today and should have prototype photos on Monday, Tuesday at the latest. The kit is going to be a very simple 4 pc kit replacing the front and rear bumpers. The kit will be made out of fiberglass and priced very affordable. We will have 30 kits produced on the first batch and will offer a special price to members with various colors of the tC so we can show the kit in every color possible. The kit will be available for sale within 2 months from the Tuesday, but this is just to get the buzz going. As mentioned, pics will be here no later than Tuesday.
Thanks
James
nchyflyer 03-24-2005, 01:25 AM pics??

mksm2000 03-24-2005, 05:46 AM yeah man im dying to get a bumper.........................................
Gmoney 03-24-2005, 11:44 AM pics??
read the last sentence in his post!
CreativeCompacts 03-24-2005, 01:58 PM Pics will be posted as soon as the development is done...
smash 03-24-2005, 03:05 PM awesome looking forward to seeing it.. holy crap I just realized Creative Compacts is located in VA! would you guys hook me up with paint/install of a bodykit or engine components in the future?
ALTERNATE_IMEGE 03-24-2005, 04:40 PM can't wait to see
Priory_of_Scion 03-24-2005, 04:52 PM That is very interesting. When you say affordable....what exaclty do you mean?
CreativeCompacts 03-24-2005, 05:17 PM I would probably be looking to do $599 or lower on a complete kit.
jmiller20874 03-24-2005, 05:38 PM I would probably be looking to do $599 or lower on a complete kit.
Painted or no? If not, would you paint them at an extra fee?
CreativeCompacts 03-24-2005, 05:50 PM Not painted.... It is recommended to have someone paint the kit with the car so they can insure color match
falcon9094 03-24-2005, 06:26 PM is it going to be a mild kit or something dramatic and wild, because I might be interested in being one of the first
CreativeCompacts 03-24-2005, 07:07 PM This kit is going to be very SUTTLE and very clean... It is a style I have liked since I saw it in Nov last year so I am sure if you are going for the clean look, you will like this kit. I think this kit is going to look EXTRA KILLER on SuperWhite and Red... but should be nice on the other colors as well.
reign 03-25-2005, 12:42 AM Awesome - I've been waiting for a good kit to come out for the tC ... I like the kaminari rear but the front and sides are to drastic.
Priory_of_Scion 03-25-2005, 01:47 AM Are you going to also do a part out option for those who, like the previous guy, like the Kaminari rear but may prefer your front and side skirts?
CreativeCompacts 03-25-2005, 03:01 PM Most definitely.. I will be stocking these kits and will be able to part them out if needed. How ever until we decide to start stocking Kaminari, I will not be able to mix and match and ship together, but it is something in the works...
Priory_of_Scion 03-30-2005, 05:30 PM Any word on those pictures??? its Wednesday???
vry interested
VIP_tC 03-30-2005, 05:48 PM Im also looking forward to the pics...
sciontc2005 03-30-2005, 05:50 PM where are the pics? my TC needs a facelift, i need
CreativeCompacts 03-31-2005, 12:02 AM I got the pics... however I got them really late today... I am going to watermark them tonight or tomorrow and I will post them.... The kit will be instock in about 80 days and I have a special incentive for people that this kit will not be made out of fiberglass or urethane but will be a special material that is going to change the way body kits are made and how they hold up.
jmiller20874 03-31-2005, 12:09 AM I got the pics... however I got them really late today... I am going to watermark them tonight or tomorrow and I will post them.... Carbon fiber? Nah that would be uber expensive. A special polyurethane type resin? Ballistics grade plastic? :ponder: Damn it man, the suspense is killing me.
Priory_of_Scion 03-31-2005, 03:16 AM Now that's how you get some word around!....i like your style brotha
TimmyT 03-31-2005, 04:07 AM hehe can't wait to see the pics..... /drool hehe
f1nch 03-31-2005, 03:49 PM FINALLY a clean kit!.... thank god
Streeter 03-31-2005, 03:55 PM subscribing to post... where them pics? 8)
CreativeCompacts 03-31-2005, 05:15 PM Actual images of the body kit have been posted to CreativeCompacts.Com.... I had to do this to protect the copyright images on the photos since some companies and individuals like to steal photos and say its theirs'.
AT THIS TIME THE KIT IS EXCLUSIVE TO CREATIVECOMPACTS.COM
No other distributor, shop, buddy or company will be selling this kit. It is being produced solely for CreativeCompacts.Com
Even though pricing has been posted, full kit price and pre-orders are subject to a cheaper price. Still working on the numbers to make sure we can offer this kit at a very affordable price.
As far as the material its made out of... As you will see in the product descriptions, it is made from Aero-Flex. Aeroflex is a manufacturing process incorporated in to the Fibers manufacturing process that allows the fiberglass parts to flex, bend, and conform to configurations never achieved with standard fiberglass products. By incorporating Aeroflex technology into the manufacturing process, we have eliminated a vast majority of the disadvantages of a standard fiberglaa item without sacrificing factors such as overall finish, weight, and COST.
So what does this mean? Well I will have images later from my trip to California where I literally sat on a Aero-flex bumper so hard it was about FLAT on the ground and it did not crack. We jumped up and down on a hood, no cracks.. We even twisted a front bumper 180 degrees and there wasn't even a stress crack. What this means is, for the same price of fiberglass, we are going to be able to offer you a Urethane characteristic product.
If anyone has any questions, just post em up and I will answer them.
VIP_tC 03-31-2005, 05:41 PM Pics look pretty good. I am not sure I like the sideskirts as much but it is hard to tell when you cant see a full shot of the whole kit on the car rather than individual shots. I am really digging the front and rear bumpers though! When do you think you will have a full kit preorder price? Also how much would shipping be on a full kit? Also I hope that the kit will fit 100% perfect right? Ive seen some bad fitting kits out there before, and I would much rather wait a little extra more time to make sure it fits right instead of rushing a kit to market.
silversciontc 03-31-2005, 05:51 PM Where are the pics on the website? I can't find them!
jmiller20874 03-31-2005, 05:52 PM Nice body kit, I like it alot. Need a straight back-end shot though to get a good glimpse of the rear bumper. Will this body kit be on your car when you come to the local BBQ on the 17th?
silversciontc 03-31-2005, 05:53 PM Nevermind......
Priory_of_Scion 03-31-2005, 05:54 PM I cant see the pictures. are they supposed to be the buddy club 2 pictures?
VIP_tC 03-31-2005, 05:55 PM Also will the stock grill (or a grillcraft) still fit in place or will it have to be mesh? Maybe you can come up with a nice set of grills to go with it (like the black grillcrafts) rather than generic mesh grill. That would set it off real nice!
CreativeCompacts 03-31-2005, 05:56 PM Fitment - With not releasing the kit till June, you can rest assured we are NOT rushing a kit to the market and am going to make sure the fitment is good. Also that is a plus with the AeroFlex that fitment can be adjusted IF Need be.
As far as pre-order price... Again still working on numbers.
I do have a dead on rear bumper shot just didn't get it online at the time I did the others. Completely my fault and I will get it up hopefully tomorrow or later today
I will not have this kit installed on our company car in April since the pieces will not be ready till June.
CreativeCompacts 03-31-2005, 05:57 PM Also will the stock grill (or a grillcraft) still fit in place or will it have to be mesh? Maybe you can come up with a nice set of grills to go with it (like the black grillcrafts) rather than generic mesh grill. That would set it off real nice!
We will be offering the bumper at this time with simply mesh. We did change the grill opening to give the bumper a lot more flare and not look like a hacked up bumper.
VIP_tC 03-31-2005, 06:00 PM We will be offering the bumper at this time with simply mesh. We did change the grill opening to give the bumper a lot more flare and not look like a hacked up bumper.
Yeah, I noticed the drastic change of the opening after comparing it to a stock one - I dont know what I was thinking, lol.
jmiller20874 03-31-2005, 06:03 PM Yeah that lower grill opening is perfect for say....an intercooler :D
Wonder how well it'll flex once painted.
VIP_tC 03-31-2005, 06:03 PM How much lower does it extend towards the ground compared to stock?
Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions! I was thinking about getting the stock ground effects, but Im pretty sure I will be waiting for this kit now...
smash 03-31-2005, 06:05 PM WHERE ARE THE PICTURES?! I can't find them on the website...
CreativeCompacts 03-31-2005, 06:12 PM Pictures are located on the website under SCION TC --> EXTERIOR --> BODY KITS
Then choose front,sides or rear
TimmyT 03-31-2005, 06:14 PM Front Facia is cool. The bumper and sideskirts aren't really my cup of tea though.
CreativeCompacts 03-31-2005, 06:17 PM Rear bumper picture from dead on has been added
onemorescion 03-31-2005, 06:23 PM For some reason James, the pics aren't visible on the screen. Has the title to the part, but no pics. Glad to see that everything is done though. Keep me updated on what we talked about before though too.
VIP_tC 03-31-2005, 06:31 PM You have to click on the title to bring the page with the pics up.
CreativeCompacts 03-31-2005, 06:34 PM I have added the THUMBNAILS to the product since too many people were saying no images were online cause they were not clicking the link....
onemorescion 03-31-2005, 07:11 PM Looks good James, can't wait to see it on your car.
Streeter 03-31-2005, 07:16 PM Not too bad looking...
falcon9094 03-31-2005, 07:50 PM I like it looks clean and not to agressive
VIP_tC 03-31-2005, 07:51 PM Dont know if you saw my last question, but how much lower does it extend towards the ground compared to stock?
smash 03-31-2005, 07:56 PM it looks okay.. i really need to see more shots of it to be able to tell... most BC stuff has never really been my taste though. i think someone asked this before, but is there going to be some type of grill added to the bumper and between the headlights? looks like big gaping holes at the time being...
PandaIst 03-31-2005, 08:05 PM It looks pretty good.
tckurt 03-31-2005, 08:11 PM hmm yea I need to see more pics... but not too bad.
CreativeCompacts 03-31-2005, 08:58 PM More pics? hehe gonna have to wait till June for those... all are posted right now
Gmoney 03-31-2005, 09:04 PM first kit that i like on the tC!
its_ikon 03-31-2005, 10:09 PM the buddy club is nice, but i was hoping for something original. still looks good though
brownbanana 04-01-2005, 04:59 AM will this be able to ship to hawaii?
CreativeCompacts 04-01-2005, 06:02 AM yes i can ship to HI
brownbanana 04-01-2005, 07:55 AM yes i can ship to HI
cool, let me know when youre ready for pre-orders
CreativeCompacts 04-01-2005, 05:19 PM No Problem, going to confirm everything and work a pre-order price out and get it up asap
f1nch 04-01-2005, 07:09 PM i like it but..... i was also hoping for somthing original...oh well... and its really not that clean...at all....i was hoping for some japan drifting style kit that would just extend the body to the ground....doubt were gonna get anything like that though... :nope:
its_ikon 04-01-2005, 08:00 PM will this be available in anything other then fiberglass?
Complication 04-01-2005, 08:31 PM yup yup, nice kit, I wouldda liked to see a little more definition in the front bump. but over all a very clean kit. can't wait for more picutures. Thats when my final vote will be cast!
deffinatly a front runner on my list.
Mr_Meaty 04-01-2005, 08:55 PM I like it alot. Even better then TCTunerz's touring kit, which was at the top of my list without going wide.
What fogs will fit snug in those holes?
ScottsdaleTC 04-01-2005, 10:01 PM Best I have seen so far for what I am needing,  let me know when your taking orders.
BigKid 04-03-2005, 05:31 AM Very nice kit...
Will the front bumper be able to utilize the factory chrome ring and grille insert? I can't recall if I read something to the effect of possibly running with a mesh style insert instead.
I like the overall look...on the edge of being aggressive, but still retaining a really sport look to it too.
Definitely will have to us posted on pre-order dates and cost.
Shri2222 04-03-2005, 06:02 AM where the pix i wanna see, i might buy one...

Shri2222 04-03-2005, 07:02 AM ^^^ thanks =)
miller3624 04-03-2005, 07:11 AM how big are those circles next to the bottom grill? are they big enough for fog lights, and if not is there enough room on the side openings?
CreativeCompacts 04-04-2005, 02:32 AM will this be available in anything other then fiberglass?
No need to... Please check our post about what the item is MADE of
Thanks
James

Can not use factory grill... Thanks
James
smash 04-04-2005, 02:35 AM you know i just took another look at those pictures.. the kit does look pretty clean; i do however think it would look a lot better without the two holes in the front bumper.. are those there for a reason? would it be possible to get w/o the holes? just curious...
CreativeCompacts 04-04-2005, 02:40 AM Its the design... its for those who may want fogs... If you want it without holes, you will have to fiberglass it
Mr_Meaty 04-04-2005, 03:49 PM Its the design... its for those who may want fogs... If you want it without holes, you will have to fiberglass it
Sooooooooo.....whta size fogs fit in there?
CreativeCompacts 04-05-2005, 05:47 AM I will get exact measurements as soon as the sample arrives back to my shop. At this time we have sent the kit out to make a mold.
We will be offering preorders for $699 + Shipping if Anyone is interested... Looking at a $78 Savings over our web price of $777 + shipping
Thanks
James
Mr_Meaty 04-05-2005, 07:46 AM THAT KITS GONNA BE UNDER $800! ...AND IT WONT' CRACK LIKE FIBERGLASS!
I think getting a body kit has just moved up on my list of "things to do for my tC"!
BigKid 04-05-2005, 12:11 PM So your actually taking pre-orders right now...
Hmm...c/f hood and hatch...or bdkit? Decesions....decesions :ponder:
yellot00tr 04-05-2005, 09:09 PM what do you think the cost would be to paint the kit???? i was at the dealer body shop and they told me to paint one side skirt would be like $150??? was that just cuz it was the dealership??? i'd get the kit but i wouldn't wanna spend like $500 more to paint it. i'd probably just get the oem ground kit which i think looks kinda nice.
CreativeCompacts 04-05-2005, 09:15 PM Gonna depend on the body shop... I know around here its about $500-$700 for paint and install.
VIP_tC 04-06-2005, 12:36 AM How much could I expect to pay for shipping?
CreativeCompacts 04-06-2005, 12:47 AM Max shipping in the USA at this time is $140 to a business and thats to MA, DE, CT, AND VT. Shipping to MT is $135
Residentail Shipping is an additional $45
its_ikon 04-06-2005, 02:13 AM will this be available in anything other then fiberglass?
No need to... Please check our post about what the item is MADE of
Thanks
James
i like the kit, but i am never buying fiberglass again. rock chips are a pain in the a$$ with fiberglass. i was hoping for it to be made in another material also, but i guess that is not going to happen
CreativeCompacts 04-06-2005, 12:46 PM I think you may change your mind once you actually see the material we are making it out of...
jmiller20874 04-06-2005, 01:55 PM Yeah, according to James, he stood on the bumper until it was practically flat and the thing didn't even crack. That's pretty damn impressive.
CreativeCompacts 04-06-2005, 02:01 PM Give me a few min... I will post a pic of me sitting and twisting it

Mr_Meaty 04-06-2005, 06:36 PM Woah. It looks like your really enjoying that kit! I feel like I should be paying to see those
English 04-06-2005, 06:38 PM how much would shipping be just for the front bumper? and will it come with grilles installed?
:ponder: is that the 4 piece one?
EnderSavesTheDay 04-10-2005, 03:22 AM i like the kit, but i am never buying fiberglass again. rock chips are a pain in the a$$ with fiberglass. i was hoping for it to be made in another material also, but i guess that is not going to happen
don't you drive an xB? :ponder:
mksm2000 04-20-2005, 06:26 AM yeah do we need to get a replacement grill or do u guys provide that too?
CreativeCompacts 04-20-2005, 11:42 AM At this time it will be mesh insert
reign 04-20-2005, 02:59 PM Max shipping in the USA at this time is $140 to a business and thats to MA, DE, CT, AND VT. Shipping to MT is $135
Residentail Shipping is an additional $45
Say I purchased this kit. Could I just drive down to VA and pick it up?
CreativeCompacts 04-20-2005, 03:03 PM All of our prices are internet prices only. When we open our retail shop, our prices will be slightly higher instore because we still have to pay for shipping from CA to VA. So at this time to answer your question, no you can not.
English 04-20-2005, 05:40 PM so it won't be cheaper to buy it in store?
BigKid 04-20-2005, 05:55 PM How much longer...I want...I want...
A lip kit sounded really gude...but theres is something about your kit that I really like.
CreativeCompacts 04-20-2005, 05:55 PM WHEN That time comes, no. As mentioned at this time we are not setup to do retail sales. More of a distibutor/warehouse operation.
Tc_Luis 04-20-2005, 06:21 PM hey james will there be lower prices for the first 30 kits that u guys were goin to produce as stated in ur first comments or the lowest price to get would be the preorder price??
CreativeCompacts 04-20-2005, 06:32 PM We will be offering a lower preorder price only.
mksm2000 04-24-2005, 02:20 AM so shipping of this kit will be around last week of June? hmmm.....think think think w/c one should i get :lalala: :lalala: :lalala:

that is like the buddy club kit on the tC
KYBoy 05-03-2005, 03:32 AM i like it
toby3002 05-03-2005, 03:56 AM ok im done searching...THAT is the kit i want
CreativeCompacts 05-03-2005, 08:11 PM that is like the buddy club kit on the tC
THat is why its called the Buddy Club 2 kit and its exclusive to our company :)
mksm2000 05-04-2005, 03:23 PM are you sure for the release date on this? just worried there might be some kind of delay or so you know.....
Gmoney 05-04-2005, 03:32 PM ok im done searching...THAT is the kit i want
yep im done as well!
CreativeCompacts 05-04-2005, 03:36 PM In this industry, there is always high chance of delay... however we are keeping tabs on the progress every 10 days or so... Right now still on schedule
jasoo517 05-04-2005, 03:41 PM you said we wuld get a lower preorder price. how about if i just wanted the front bumper? will i get a lower price for that? and it not fiberglass right?
CreativeCompacts 05-04-2005, 03:48 PM Our preorder price is only going to be for full kits... We are bringing in 20 full kits to begin inventory cycles... I do not want to deal with 10 split kits off the bat so we are going to do a preorder price that will be very tempting to do the full kit... Please read the 1st page or so of threads bout the material, it still is fiberglass with a twist.
mksm2000 05-05-2005, 02:22 AM now that's my man =) i really want to get this kit.....il wait for that day when you set up the pre order thingy
EnderSavesTheDay 05-05-2005, 03:06 AM Any update on the foglight dimensions for this kit? I need to know if I can find fogs to fit this kit cleanly before I even consider it. I don't think it'd be clean enough w/o the fogs.
I'm not a big fan of mesh to keep things covered... Do you think there is any possible way to modify the OEM grill to fit the kit? I'm really loving the kit, but I'd want it to look as OEM as possible, with a flare. Like some of the other guys on here I'm oddly in love with the emblem being on the front grill (that is until someone out there makes a better looking grill). Subtle but sweet. For all this and more, thanks :D
CreativeCompacts 05-05-2005, 05:16 AM We will have info on the fogs when we get our production pieces back.
I highly doubt you will be able to EVER use your OEM grill
