Hey all...
Waiting on my IIP tC - it's at port and they are installing a spoiler for me at the dealership when it gets in. I was just curious what people like better. I've seen many with the lip and like it a lot but I've never seen the pedastal. People who I know that have seen it say I should get it but in some pictures it doesn't look that great. What do ya'll think?

I like the look of the lip because it makes the car look classier. Although, I didnt actually get the lip myself. I needed to save some cash :( But if I did get a spoiler, it'd definitely be the lip.

I like the Pedestal with the factory ground effects kit and the Lip without the kit. I have nether and like it that way also. :P

Lip has an elegant but aggressive look that goes with the flow of the car, but the pedestal spoiler isn't curved to match since it also doesn't offer any performance advantage the lip is the way to go.

spoiler. love mine and get complimented all the time. it looks way better in person than in pictures. but check my gallery if you wanna see what mine looks like. don't wanna hear any negative comments though so keep em to yourself if you don't approve.

I am getting the pedestal on my car and i agree it looks very nice in person. The car looks great without any spoiler (classy), with the lip (stylish) and with the pedestal (sporty). Either way you go it looks great!!!!! :clap:

I was going to get the pedestal but all the cars at the dealership came with lip preinstalled and I did not want to wait for my car :) I like the lip though, and I've gotten compliments on how classy my car looks.

haha.. it's actually a piece of painted ABS plastic. but yea, highly overpriced. if anything, everyone should buy it online and install it themselves :P

I think the pedestal spoiler looks like one of those cheap aftermarket ones that you see in the JC Whitney catalog.

IMO wingless is the way to go, but if you are going to rock a spoiler get the lip.

while i still like the lip better, and its what i got, the pedestal doesn't look that bad in person. i was supprised because it looks like crap to me in the pictures.

It definitely looks silly in pictures. I was really nervous when I ordered my pedestal spoiler with my car, I was just going on the word of a friend who saw it in person. When I finally saw it myself, I was NOT disappointed. I love my spoiler. Looks totally different in person than it does in pictures.

check out the TRF rear lip spoiler, its 10x better than both of those

Lip. Just got mine installed yesterday, and it just sets the look of the car.

I think most people vote for the lip cause they got it, but I think they both look good. My friend has the Lip and I have the pedestal, but My car looks better because the of the color... He was mad... haha Oh well!

I had my car at the dealer right after I bought it to get the lip spoiler put on.. and when I came to pick her up, to my surprise, they had installed the pedestal! [gasp!]

Needless to say, I was hella upset but they said it would be a couple days before they could get another lip spoiler in.. so I took her up and the pedestal actually kinda grew on me. I called them back a couple days later and said not to worry about the lip.. i'd keep the ped and all is well :)

I like em both.. just a matter of preference.

I have the lip because it was already on the car when i went for a test drive. But I would probably have chosen the pedestal. I do agree with everyone though that the lip has a classy style to it even though it is a major rip off.

get the fiber fx cf trunk with lip. its molded into the trunk and looks good with the tC's lines

I originally wanted the lip and thought the pedestal looked bad in pictures. In person it is the opposite. The lip looks cheap, thought it would be more like the A4's. The pedestal really makes the car stand out and I don't think it has a ricer look. You should see for yourself at the dealership.

Since pedastal and lip spoilers really offer nothing in the form of performance. I say None or Lip spoiler. Just cause the tC is a good lookin ride, and when I drive around i want people to say "hey look at that car!" not "Hey Look at that spoiler... and the car is hot too."

i just got the lip spoiler for my sw tc. i think it looks sick. got it for $250 from a dealership by my house. install-$65. can't beat that. it makes the car looks just a little sportier and nicer. worth the money-without a doubt.
