Default aftermarket CAI, void factory warranty?

I'm sure this has been answered already, but can anyone in Hawaii/Oahu answer if installing an aftermaket CAI (was looking at the AEM) will void any factory warranties?

Will installing it also mean that I need to get a recon sticker?

Thanks guys!

The answer is YES to both questions.

The AEM CAI will void your warranty. But, the good thing is is that it only voids your warranty if the dealership thinks the problem was caused by the CAI. If something goes wrong with your brakes, the will still cover that because your CAI couldn't have been the reason they went bad. But if your intake manifold busted or something, that'd probably blame the CAI and you wouldn't be covered. You see what I mean?

And yeah, in Hawaii every time you make a change to your car like that, you need a new one. Good luck with that crap.

I was raised in Hawaii, Pearl City to be exact and I have never had to get a recon. sticker for my intake. Dropping the car is another story though.
