The rear is ugly, it should've copied the SYN[us] rear, which is pretty nice looking imo.. Also looks like someone spilled crap on the seats.. I really like the rest of the car, but the rear looks too curvy and honda element-like.

Zoink, I don't know what to say. Well, yes, I do. I will be SHOCKED if that model even gets CLOSE to being made.
Sure, some part of it will end up on the road...but come on. That front drivers door will never fly here in the states...and that dash...looks like something Captain Kirk would drive.
Points given for thinking, but I really, really don't think this is the next SCION we will see in the showroom.
I could be wrong.

the anticipation of waiting for photoz wuz so hard for meeee, but they are finally here!!
and just when u thought Scion cant do better.. they sure promised a surprise, i dunno about u guyz, but i was pretty surprised. with this concept, i totally love the idea of a toss up between Will Cypha + bB + Porte.
the first look of it obviously slapz u on the forehead with the thought of a 2nd gen bB, as u come to your sensez and carefully speculate around the body it reminds u of the Will Cypha & Porte thatz currently selling over in Japan. it's got the similiar lines of a Will Cypha's body with a Porte's styling, or either way its pretty similiar to all 3.. i cant help but be hypnotized of the design. although im not fond of the idea of suicide doors and passenger sliding door.. IMO suicide doors is hotness only if its on a classical type car or a extremely luxurious car like a Bentley/Royce of that sort. for a "cool, edgy" factor car i dont think suicide is the way to go. and the whole sliding door idea, obviously they belong on a VAN! a family van none the less, i dont want that if i dont have a soccer team to haul!
itz all IN MY OPINION, i love the overall design and philosophy, but i just dont like the suicide & sliding doorz idea, i dunno, it might grow on me later on but at the moment im not too convinced that they are that cool.. but im pretty satisfied with it, i've been biting on my nailz & riping my hair out since the rumor of the concept and now im finally seeing it debut. it just made my day!
now i just gotta goto the auto show, i've alwayz wanted to go but no one i know wantz to go with me.. so i've yet to goto any, it killz me to know that a car show is in my area but im not able to go.. i hope itz not the same for me this year
I'm getting dejavu seeing the concept of the t2b
When I first saw the xB here in the states, I hated it! Over time, I grew to love the car and eventually bought one for myself. I'm kinda getting the same feeling here. Not liking it much, but I'm curious as to how the production models turn out.
Personally, the mismatched styling of doors bothers me the most. I'd prefer both doors to be either or (both sliding or both suicide). It feels... uneven or lopsided seeing the doors opening in all different directions.
2.4 Liters is highly anticipated however! I'd love a bigger engine in the box!
However, I'm worried that the price point of this car will change significantly with this new model, styling, and additions.

The 2.4 liter would be welcome, as long as it can match or beat the current fuel economy of the xB.
A real independent rear suspension vs. torsion beam would be welcome.
I'm undecided on the styling. It seems like there could be visibility problems out the back. The doors are trick, but I will be amazed if they make it to the production version. It would add a lot to the cost to build it and it would be very hard to get it to pass side impact safety tests.
Overall it's encouraging. I just hope they don't move this vehicle upmarket too much. I'd like to see a sticker price at least under $17,000 for the "next xB". Affordability is a big part of the charm of these cars, otherwise it will just be another $21,000 mini SUV like the Element.
