Ive found them for the xB and the tC with direct bolt on. But has anyone seen them for us xA owners(front door only)? Anywhere, almost any price, doesnt matter to me. Jus someone lead me on the right path :pray:

havent seen one for an xa, but i know that verticaldoors.com will make a kit for the xa just as long as there is a minimum of 10 orders, so if you can find 9 more people that want the kit you can get it, or mostly likely if they dont come out w/ a kit you can have some1 fabricate 1 for you.

there are companies that will take a universal kit and adapt it to your car. of course you will need to find a shop that is local to you for that

local shop said $6500 for the kit and install. i can bolt on a kit and pay the usual $1500 for a kit. The xB and tC jave kits, why no xA love

My shop just installed a 'universal kit' on a Honda Hatchback (late 90's model). It was put in correctly, we installed fiberglass aftermarket fenders (with BMW-style cut-outs), and an aftermarket bodykit at the same time as a paintjob. The Universal kit cost the owner $500 per side (that was the rumor going around the shop) and after we got done putting it in...it was 5x harder to get in and out of the vehicle than before we started. The doors only swing 'out' about 8-10", then up about 75% of the door openeing's height. So you have to 'shimmey' your way into the door opening to get in. You turn your head between the bottom of the interior door panel and the top of the door openeing/drip-rail and slide your body in sideways to the seat. Pulling the doors down and 'in' isn't as easy as it probably should be and they never seem to loatch really solid like a new car does. Too many pivot points and too many joints to get it to shut and feel like it's closed solid-ly. Dont even ASK about the fitment of the bodykit or the fenders after the doors are closed.....all I can say is....if you haven't bought the stuff to do it yet, DONT. We didnt' charge even CLOSE to the amount of time we had in it, and the owner had over $2000 per door (before the bodykit/fitment issues) to get them working as well as they were (which wasn't, IMO a quality-job in the end). I dont do metal work at my shop, so maybe that's how those things are designed to fit, but the metal guys working on the doors cussed and threw a fit every day they had to work on that thing. Some guys even traded hours/lunches/wives to keep from having to work on those doors.

Probably not that this helps any... but I've seen pictures of the ist with vertical door kits. It was for show... so I'm sure that their sponsors dished out the cash for it.

Other than that, I haven't heard of anyone making a kit specifically for the xA.

one of my guys in scion evo has them on a black xa they look great upon what any one else says i can vouch there is no such thing as a bolt on for the scions i am telling u ive done every kit on xb and xa they dont open that far neither so if ur like me 6ft 230lbs good luck getting in it very inconvenient just to let u know looks great but sux when u try to get out
