I got one from eBay. Painted and shipped for a low cost.

I used 3M tape and it's holding just fine right now.

Look's great! And looks exactly like OEM from Toyota.

Does it come with bolts to were you have to drill into the deck lid like the factory one does?

It does say flush mount

How was the color match? How long have u had it

It does come with bolt drilled holes on the spoiler. It shows I need 6-8 holes if I remember. But since I just picked up the Tc, I didn't want to damage her by drilling holes. Therefore I used 4x 3M strip tape and heat it up and stuck it on. I have never had an issue yet. I been on the highway going 140km/h and rain and heavy winds and slamming the trunk. The big test comes when it starts snowing here and colder weather in the -10 to -20....

It fits perfectly to the back of the trunk. No need to cut or adjust it.

The color match was just a tad darker then original but you don't notice it unless you put your face to the spoiler and the back trunk. Maybe it was just me that can tell the difference.

I got the spoiler the day I picked up the car lol. Which was a little month ago.

I also bought an OEM rear lip flush mount spoiler on eBay for $129.99 already painted. The cement matched my car exactly. I installed it myself using 6 bolts, just like one that comes from the dealership. I wouldn't trust tape to hold it on, but some have apparently used tape with great success.

The total cost of the spoiler from the dealership was going to be $444, I got my for less than 1/3 of the cost. So it was like getting my Injen CAI intake for free!! DIY FTW

I ordered it on Saturday!! Should be interesting on how good the paint matches my sizzling Crimse...
How hard was the instal with the bolts? With the templet it shouldn't be to bad hopefully.

The two options I wanted was the foglights and the spoiler.
I got my fog lights last week and installed them on Saturday morning. Those were a piece of cake

It's pretty easy. The hardware you got might be different from what I got. The hardest part is drilling holes through your brand new car you haven't even made a payment on yet.

That's true... I think drilling in any new car will make anybody pucker a little. :). I bought my car April 27th . Two days before my birthday. :)

On TRDsparks there is a kit to do the real install of the spoiler; bolts, washers ect. It also comes with heavier duty trunk lift struts (dont know if that is the right word?). And lastly, there is complete intall instructions in the uper right hand of the spoiler page, so you are not drilling holes "blind."

Better yet, here is the instructions link:

And here is the link to the template so you can drill:

lastly, I lied before, sorry! The struts you need are sold seprate:

the spoiler that I ordered comes with a template and very good instructions.

Thanks for putting a link up from trdsparks.com, i have been looking at those instructions for while now so I can probably do it with my eyes closed now
Trdsparks is were I got the instructions to put in my factory fog lights this past weekend.

I got my "Factory Style Spoiler" off ebay for $130 pre-painted. The 202 Black matched my car exactly. It did come with instructions and a template for a bolt on application, but I used like 10 feet worth of 3M doublesided outdoor tape and havent had a problem with it, I've even hit 120 in the rain and it hasnt budged. I highly reccomend buying it from ebay, as opposed to paying $450 to get one from the stealership.

(Not the best picture of it, but it's the only one I have on my computer right now!)

Haha Na I don't like to order TRD stuff. They're way expensive and I feel like aftermarket stuff is just as good if not better

PIA is rite! I have a question, does your spoiler still feel a little wobbly? Im afraid the snow accumulations will weigh down the spoiler and loosen it more over time.

Mine feels pretty good. I'm going to check the bolts before the snow hits.

@Jerm: Do you have a link to the auction or seller you used for the spoiler on Ebay? I'm intersted and have seen a few different ones. Also did you purchase/install the spoiler strut from TRDsparks? I was wondering if 1) it was needed and 2) was it compatible with the spoiler you bought?

Jerm

This is the one that I got:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-2012-Scion-tC-Painted-Rear-Flushmount-Spoiler-Wing-Factory-Style-/380378849491?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2011%7CMake%3AScion%7CModel%3AtC&vxp=mtr&hash=item589058a0d3#ht_927wt_1110

I didnt need the struts but if/when it snows then the factory ones wont hold up.

Be warned, if u get this spoiler that the two outside screw studs are impossible to get the nuts onto. You have to drill additional holes into the bottom of ur hatch. -there is no access to those studs-.
i would recommend a telescoping pen magnet.

Not to thread jack but does anyone have a gap between the spoiler and the hatch close to the 3rd brake light? Just wondering.

Hey Jerm, I actually got this figured out. i didn't update this thread since I just started one dedicated to this problem. The technician that installed it was FOS saying that's how they fit. I offered to walk him over to a car on their lot with a spoiler installed by the factory and he knew it was a night and day difference. All kinds of management were notified. To make a long story short. There is a known problem accessory spoilers (not installed from factory) to have warping issues. They are seeing it more than they want. The only difference is that the gap is never consistent. Mine just happened to be one of the worst. Toyota is being notified. The service manager at my dealer ended up personally taking a 3rd spoiler with him and drove my car to a body shop to make sure I get the quality that toyota intended.
