New To Forum, Need some advice about RS7
Hey Scionlife, Im a new member here but not new to the site, Ive been lingering for a couple months as a guest. Anyway I picked up a RS7 at the end of September #740, Im in love with it but now I think I might grow out of the color in a couple years. My plan is to have the Tc as my main car until my late 20's, (Im 21 now) but i feel that I might get tired of the High Voltage Yellow by time I graduate college in 2.5 years. So I was thinking about trading it in for a regular Tc probably black or white and get some accessories with it, but im not sure and keep going back and forth about it so I come to you guys asking for some advice....
Here are my options..
1. Keep the Rs7
2. Get a black Tc with the Trd Rims, Fog Lights, Mud Guards, Dimming Mirrior, Smart Key with Push Start, OEM Audio, Leather Package which will probably run about 26000 or more but I will be happy for the next 8 years with my Tc. ( They said I can order with whatever accessories so no im not paying the dealership to install all of this)
Like This w/o spoiler and big brake kit
.jpg)
3. White Tc with same accessories without trd wheels and just paint stock rims black.
And Yes I know I can get this and that for 26000 but I want a Tc because it has what I want. Good mpg (Avereaged 28 mpg driving in Atl with horrible traffic), alot of Trunk room, great sound system and its a coupe.
What I want is a more Luxury Tc than a Sporty Tc.
Thanks for the help and im very sorry about the long first post
3 more questions does anyone exactly how much leather package is and is the pioneer premium Head Unit any good or at least better than Stock as far as sound quality?? And why is Rs7 21635 and Stock Tc 20305 only 1330 more for Rs??

Like Ariese said, you will get KILLED on trading it in. And just think, what if you knock some girl up in the next 2-3 years? You will probably be getting rid of any color tC at that point for something with 4 doors. Life happens sometimes ya know?
I say add some leather and keep it for now. You can get the basic Cazzio leather seat covers from trdsparks.com for $449, but the price goes up if you customize them, like different color in the center, colored piping/stitching ect ect. Also, you can contact the guy who sold you the car and ask who they use to install aftermarket leather. This will be more expensive, but instead of just covering the existing seat material, they actually remove the cloth and replace it over the foam/springs with leather. If your salesman/dealership does not have an aftermarket leather installer, call any or all (if that’s what it takes) local dealers. One of them uses a leather guy for sure!

Thanks for the replies guys, I was hoping to get at least 19-20k for a trade in, it has about 3500 miles on it. It might be best for me to just skip out on the leather because I'll be tugging my drum kit around in the trunk with the seats folded down so im sure they won't look good for to long. That would bring the total down to 25k and after all the mods some people put on there Tc's they probably end up paying close to 25k.
Not saying anything bad about the color, Im just saying it fits me now but I dont know about 2-4 years from now.
And druidiron No babies for me anytime soon, thats one mistake im not making.

My personal opinion, I would try and sell the rs yourself on craigslist or autotrader or something. Because yea, you're gonna get killed with the trade in on that. Hopefully you can get more if you sell it yourself. The yellow is cool for a while, but it's extremely bold and idk about you but i'd get sick of it after a year or so.
I dont have an opinion about the white tc because I dont have one or know anyone who does. But I have a black one, and I love it. As long as I keep it clean, I personally think it's the best color.
And the pioneer headunit is not better than the stock headunit in sound quality, except for the HD radio. I've got the pioneer with HD radio, and when HD radio is working, it sounds significantly better. But when it's off, you couldn't tell the difference by listening to it. It's just cooler cuz it's touchscreen and looks legit

You should be responsible with your money. Trading in your car just for color is overkill. You chose the color, so just stick with it.
I briefly toyed around with the idea of doing what you are thinking just to get a manual, but it just makes zero sense financially to do something like that.
Also, totally agree with ariese he said he'd never pay 26k for a tC. At that price point, you can get some nice intro-luxury cars that will smash a tC.

I do agree with them. 26K for a scion is rediculous. Spend 21K and then use that extra 5K on aftermarket upgrades. After all, that's what the TC is all about.
And btw, you can buy those upgrades that you want as aftermarket / aftermarket OEM style and save a LOT of money.

why don't you just get the RS7 painted or wrapped. Youll spend less than the trade, and you get to keep all the custom options of the RS (push start, proximity locks, body kit, honeycomb grill, etc.)......problem solved.
I have to disagree, painting a vehicle DESTROYS it's value. In the long run, you'd lose MUCH more money if you got it painted. Then when you try to sell it years down the road it will be listed as not the factory color
yes painting is stupid...
but wrapping it is a good idea! change the color, not perm, wont mess up the original factory FJ cruiser yellow....plus wrapping is the "in thing" right now with modded cars

Couple grand to wrap a car properly. I think a wrap would be the best bet. If you like the RS color now, stay with it till you get tired of it, then wrap it in black or white or whatever color you want.
But the OP said that he would order a black or white tC with push button start and smart key. That is not an option. Only way to get that in the US is with a RS 7.0.
