View Full Version : Any pics of wheel spacers installed?
piercedlip81 03-25-2005, 06:51 PM i searched and no luck finding actual pics. just everybody says h&r makes them. I am curious of getting a set for the rear only and wonder how it will look. And what size spacing I should look to get, and such...any information is appreciated.
Thanks!
hal9000 03-25-2005, 08:52 PM the tC on H&R's web page has 15mm front and rear spacers on it...haven't seen any with just the rears yet..
piercedlip81 03-25-2005, 09:24 PM ok, i never seen that one. that cars nasty looking. racing stripes and wheels dont look right...anyways...
I think the backs look like they need pushed out somewhat. I have the trd springs and some 18's and i just would look more aggressive i think. Maybe I'll pick up a set soon...
dallas-tc-31 03-28-2005, 04:30 AM anyone here know where to get these spacers and springs online, wvery vendor I search doesn't list scion, but H & R site says they make them, can you buy direct?
jrv2000 03-28-2005, 05:00 AM http://www.speedaction.net/wheel-spacers-h-r-scion.html you can buy them here for our car
brownbanana 03-28-2005, 09:55 AM im pretty sure its the same part number as a few other 5x100 toyotas...i remember it was when i looked a while back
yellot00tr 03-31-2005, 02:25 PM what do wheel spacers do exactly?
jrv2000 03-31-2005, 08:25 PM ^^^^they lower your offset

daewonder 04-01-2005, 02:53 AM hmm maybe the 5mm will make a difference after all. thanks for the pic slammed.

maybe for the front, but the back will probably need atleast a 10mm spacer to kick it out enough.
yellot00tr 04-03-2005, 01:30 AM do these affect ride quality at all, or warranty stuff???
phatfront 04-04-2005, 03:18 PM 8mm-10mm would be perfect. can't find any :(
nero_tC 04-05-2005, 01:04 AM ditto.
daewonder 04-05-2005, 04:32 AM i remember someone saying they had H&Rs on the way? where you at?! :D
i think getting 15mm H&Rs and having them machined down to 10mm would be ok for those looking for 10.
yellot00tr 04-06-2005, 04:41 AM joe@dezod has the wheel spacers. i'm thinkin of getting just 5mm ones for the rear cuz i have springs and i don't wanna screw up the suspension or ride. just trying to see if it's worth spending $60 for something i'd barely notice. suggestions anyone?

i was thinking about doing the same, but i really don't know anything about wheel spacers. i would like some more info/suggestions as well.
RayDiz 04-07-2005, 05:50 AM can you use spacers with 19" rims and a trd drop????bump
TurboMe 04-07-2005, 06:23 AM ur after side is cut off
NISMOZ33 04-09-2005, 07:05 AM I have a bunch of 5 and 8 mm spacers laying around ill ship for $10 per pair... they are the cheepy cast spacers... i wouldnt recomend them on any car IMHO...
but, i wouldnt recomend anyting unless it is a hub centric spacer...
If you are getting after market wheels, get wheels with the correct offset to put them flush with the fender...

Do you have your tC yet? If you do, could you do everyone on scionlife a quick favor? Since the H&R spacers are 5 and 15mm, and you have 5 and 8 mm spacers laying around, could take off one of your front and rear wheel, and put like one 5mm spacer on the front wheel, and two 8mm spacers on the rear wheel to see how they look? I dont want you to go driving anywhere like this, but if you could test this out on your car and then tell us how they look so that we know what size spacer to go for on the front and rear to get a flush look that would be awsome(pics would even be better).
NISMOZ33 04-09-2005, 04:29 PM Ill do it if my girlfriend lets me! its going to be her car...
(but I have my plans for it hehe)...
I wont drive with them, but also... I dont know yet how long the stock hub bolts are to see if they will even let the lug nuts properly bolt up to the bolts...
Need to have atlest 8 threads locked onto the hub bolts IMHO...
When she wakes up we may go out looking again...
When I get to my office on Monday ill take a picture of the spacers...
But also, from the tC we looked at last night (our first ones in person) the rears looked like they could use a 15mm spacer... Ill look again better today...

Thanks man, if you could do this it would be great. Btw, I dont want you to try and go out driving with those spacers on even if you have 8 threads locked into the hub bolts. The only spacers that I would ever trust on my car while driving are the H&R's which are TUV approved. But if you could see if 5mm front and 15mm rear would make the stock wheels flush with the fenders that would provide very useful information to everyone here.
NISMOZ33 04-10-2005, 03:56 AM I just got home from our day out... Put a deposit on a tC :)
And my scatter brain forgot to look at the wheels... SORRY!
All I could think of was trying to see what my girlfirend is going to like on her car so I know what to order :)
I can do it, just dont even have the car yet! I probably wouldnt drive the car with them on... I would have to roll it back and forth a couple of times so the wheels can set out...
