Hey,

I'm in Ottawa - driving a 2005 Corolla though. If I could have brought a tC into Canada back then, I'd be driving one instead now.

Ottawa is so hard to get anything going. Now that winter is finally getting going, people tend to hibernate. But it is still fun to meet up at a Tim's or something to chat cars - I'd like to find out more about Scion in Ottawa actually and the new coupe FR-S(?) looks interesting but I bet it will be still too expensive here :(

PM me if you want to meet up sometime. I have been a longtime ToyotaNation and 9thgencorolla(now it is dead tho) member too.

PS I don't have the 17" tC rims - 17" Enkei J-10s now - a dark blue Matrix is rollin' on the tC's during the summer somewhere in Kanata ;)

hows the modding going ottawa? anyone got plans for the ride when summer rolls round?

I do actually have big plans for the spring just have to find the parts :s Taking a trip to Toronto and the States to find them in Feb.

Picking up some Ksport Kontrol coilovers, Magnaflow cat-back system, and throwing on some 18"s. Most importantly a new paint job if my work will let me in on a weekend. Stock colour but matte finish.

Ya the teins didn't have the drop I was looking for either and everyone on the forum seems pretty positive on k sports and I can thru kanata wheels and tires and goldwing but it'll be cash under the table kinda deal so if there is any brand or style you were interested in let me know and ill see if its viable or a decent deal!

Ya absolutely man. Its the observatory eh? Ya I was looking at some RPF1 matte black by Enki 18x8.5 with a 30 offset. There about 340 each. Also saw some nice simple matte black Focal 5spoke on tire rack but not in the offset I want.

thats a nice wheel. im looking at the msr 095's. they are a single drill too. and what offset are you looking for ill see what i can do with the offset and wheel that you want. Have you been to intial tuning? they also sell rims at a decent price?

Those msr's will look good on a tc. Im looking for 18x8.5 with +30 in matte black. basic 5 or 6 spoke like the Focal F05. Im seaching to see if anyone can get me that rim in that size.

Ya I decided on XXR 522 18x8.5 with +30 offset in matte black. Going to be ordering from nlmotoring.com and ship them to the UPS just at the boarder then picking them up. Save like 400 doing it that way lol. Stupid not too ya know.

I'm paying 83 to ship them from Cal to NY then 13% tax bring them into Canada. With an additional 7% if they are not made in USA. I'm still saving like 450 doing it that way. Just send them to the UPS in Ogdensburg.

ya i saw that they had a good price. i have to check out how they look. im all over the place with the rims i want. i want the MSR 095, or the xxr's that you got in the chromium black or whatever and im also looking at the million dollar deep xxr's or the gline 817 in yellow or polished. i dunno tho im all over the place lol. and NLM is probs the best.

I know exactly what you mean. I was like that until a few weeks ago. Haven't yet ordered as I was planning the rest of my ride and wanted the look to be right. Should be ordering on Feb 24. Just be sure to get the right offset, that is what pulls the rims and car together. Check out rimtuck.com and click search

Ya secone gen one first time I've seen it. Got a big scion racing SR type logo on the back and a DC logo on the rear window. I love the XB always have but this looked tacky I really hope it wasn't a trackwerks product lol. It had massive mud flaps that kicked out wayyy too far for my liking anyways. I just looked like an ebay build lol

That definitely does sound tacky for me too. Must have tried for rally inspired. Trackwerks said the guy had the white one slammed so probably not that one if it had flaps lol.

I had/still have a 94 Honda Accord Coupe with an H22A swap. Its off the road now but was looking to sell it but if not, everything will get redone after my Scion Project.

I rocked a honda too. A 91 civic dx. Swapped for a B16 vtec. Then turbo to 6 lbs and got t boned at an intersection. Then got a 330CI bmw 2003. Got an enginr and tranny swap from an M3 and got a supercharger kit. Then got rid of it to make a profit and then got the TC.

So i was thinking, I want to get an Ottawa Scion meet going. I know its seems that its just us 2 but there has to be more out there who are looking for the same. Hoping to go to a few Scion dealerships and seeing if they would be interested in helping organizing something for the spring or summer or maybe just help promote. Grow some numbers in Ottawa.

How does your tC compare?

I do like the handling for the winter. Compared to the rear drive waywardness of the BM. I like that its relaible and that oil changes r every 8 thousand km! And is cheap to do instead of the 100 plus dollar bmw changes and I also like the syling more than obviously the 91 civic. I like the face almost no one else has them and ppl who don't care about cars done buy them! So everyone u see in a TC or an XB does like cars basically lol. What I miss is the masses of power at the disposal of my right foot. My 330 cud do a 10.7 on track tires and could blow almost anything out of the water! But for my first brand new car I like it!

Ya I can imagine the BMW had serious power. The beauty of new cars is direct bolt-ons that produce major power. I love the design of all Scions too. I did indeed get mine from Tony Grahams. I dealt with Jen for a bit. Should meet up sometime and swap some stories n ideas.

Look for my 2005 Corolla, phantom grey pearl, with folding led mirrors, rear window visor, shark-fin antenna.
