i have the black sand pearl as well. i'm surprised that i was one of the few with black at the scion exposed event. i wanted the blue, but i just loved the black when i saw it in person, so i got it instead.

I was gonna get polar white but when we saw the hot lava we got that, if money is good to us then another polar white might be on its way.

Just waiting to see somebody with a Camo xB to get two-tone leather Katzkin seats. Black and Camo mix would be hot for the seats. They offer a camo color that has the army's pattern. Would look hot!

I was originally was going to get the ThunderCloud but instead went with Polar White. Happy w/ the choice since it looks bigger and looks nice w/ trimmings. :) But, if I could get a 2nd box, I would get the ThunderCloud.

I got myself a Polar White.

Polar white here too. It worked out perfectly as the only xB they had on the lot with a 5 speed was white--- and that's what I wanted.

Why white?

1) I've never had a white car and I like white.

2) White doesn't show swirlmarks and every defect like dark colors do.

3) White is very easy to touch up (chips, scratches etc.)

4) I knew I'd be moving to Phoenix AZ for a new job, it's hot as hell there and with the xB basically being a big greenhouse on wheels strapped with the Echo's notoriously week A/C I couldn't take any chances, I don't want to roast. Darkest legal tint on all three sides and white was the only way to go. 8)

I think you should DEFINITELY go with the Lava. First of all, you're buying an xB--- you are going to get attention even if it's beige!

Second, the lava is more unique than most of the other colors (limited production I think) and it's just a rare color on cars in general.

No offense, I know a black car looks great when it's spotlessly clean and waxed and buffed, but 90% of the time it's not. Every bit of dust and pollen shows so the car always looks a little dirty. Unless you are extremely gentle washing and waxing you will get visible swirl marks.

Add to that the fact that black soaks in heat, maybe not a major issue if you're not living in the desert like me, but it's worth considering that the xB has the same A/C as the Echo despite having A LOT more space to cool and more glass letting sun in from every direction. Many Echo owners complain about the A/C being inadequate, so I'd imagine the xB's could be REAL hard to get cool in the summer.

Get the lava man, it's a more interesting color, it won't show dirt/swirl marks as much and looks good without having to be spotlessly clean like black. You'll stay cooler in summer and be thankful when you can rest your hand on the car after it's been in the sun without getting 3rd degree burns.

Thundercloud, i've always had a thing for silver cars. Also, new england has winter, which isn't kind to dark cars.

It's pure white, no metallic or irridescence or pearlness about it.

Works for me, I'm pretty happy with it. There are alot of great colors for this car though. The black cherry pearl is probably my favorite, I might have gone that way if it wasnt for the desert heat and the fact my last car was a dark color and I just got sick of obssessing over trying to get after every visible fingerprint, swirlmark etc. I also just wanted something very different color-wise than what i've had in the past. I've done burgundy, black, dark blue and dark green. White intrigued me and I liked the practical benefits.

Hmmmm... don't have mine yet, but I wanted the Black Cherry Pearl when I first learned of the Scion xB release (late '03) and I liked the Camo, too; then last week at the dealership, I saw the Thundercloud Metallic. I'm torn, but will probably go with Thundercloud Metallic since it will show fewer pits in the pain (darn So Cal Freeways).

I got a Hot Lava...Pretty fortunate too, I saw it sitting on the delivery truck at the dealership and literally test drove it with all of the white protective covers over the wheels and the hood!!! 3 miles on it when I drove it home!!! It beats my crappy Hyundai Santa Fe I traded in anyday!!!

had to get the Black Sand Pearl , been blacking out my car completely...in my area everyonr wanted the Hot Lavas, i dont even like that color...there were only 2 black xB in my area (100 mile radius) as of last month or so...i still have let to see a black driving...just saw one at a meet..still to this day othen then the dealers have only seen one other xB driving (a blue one)

Exactly why I am getting Thunder Cloud paint. I really like the Polar White, but it's just too much white. Even though I still have the vision of 19" bronze wheels with the white paint as the best set-up possible. I'm staying stock unless I land a new job with more $$

When I walked on the lot I didn't care what color I got, as I like all of them. I would have preferred white, but the white one they had had a slushbox, so I very happily drove home in a BCP 5-speed an hour and a half later. :D

I really wanted a 5 sp but the only one had damage from the hurricane so instead of waiting (It was my B-Day present and I wasnt leaving without one) we took an auto. :love: LOVE IT!! My ONLY color choice. Hubby now wants his own. We shall see.

I went with the Blue. My wife and I had a tough time choosing between the CAMO and BLUE.
I parked it under some yellow parking lot lamps the other night and it looked totally black - no blue at all (yellow lights have very little, if any, blue frequency light so nothing to reflect off the blue paint).
But during the day in bright sun I like the metallic blue effect.
Whatever the color, we think the xB looks awesome!

After seeing the Hot Lava :bow: the choice was obvious. #0748

We got Polar White.

Just picked up my Yellow 2.0 XB yesterday.

I chose the polor white since that was the brightest thing they had and I am gonna repaint anyway and I was gonna get the TCM color but when I went to Chicago that was like...the only color I saw...

I gotta be honest with you I thought they were hideous and my bf's bestfriend got one and so my bf he loved it after he test drove it. I really never thought the orginal colors or the limited ed. were eye popping colors that I wanted to sit in. Then one day I went to a Chinese buffet and I put 50 cents in a gumball machine and yellow XB came out. I told my bf that's my color when they make that I will buy it other than that you better keep dreaming! Sure enough the limited edition was my dream car. I get so much great feed back! People honk at me and smile and WAVE too! I know the color is blinding and all but you can't help but to be HAPPY :P I am!

Camouflage is great but you can't park it to close to the woods or you'll lose it. That's why they made the lights flash for the keyless entry.

i realllllly wanted the polar white.....

but when i got to the lot, there was none....all the other colors were there xcept lava...so really wanted to get camoflage....so i decided to come back later...

i wrecked my car......so i went back to the dealership and refused to leave until they sold me an xB....but all they had was black cherry pearl (the LAST color on my list)...i settled then....but i love it now... yes even more than the polar white.

Camo is the nicest color in my eyes, can't wait to get some black rims.

I love all the colors!!! Sure wish Hot Lava was a regular color. At Riverside Scion in Tulsa OK I had the choice of Dark Green (camo?), BOP, BCP, and BSP on the lot. After reviewing the options each one had and what I wanted to do to it in the future, I "settled" on BOP. Blue is my favorite color!!!

Saw the Hot Lava xB last year and ordered one the weekend after my Eclipse Turbo died. It took more than a week to find one with a stick, a mandatory feature in our household, and I have been super happy with it ever since. I have added the AEM cold air intake, red Altezza tail lights, seat covers and replaced the headlight bulbs with the brighter Xenon bulbs. Very, very pleased with my orange toaster.
