View Full Version : Dome Lighting Install JustinSane 10-17-2007, 10:31 PM I was thinking of doing the front and rear Domes red with the Map light bright white. So when I open the doors, the car glows red. Does anyone know how Red looks? I haven't seen any pictures. Blue looks nice. CSOCSO 10-24-2007, 08:45 PM DONT GET COLT CATHODE KITS FROM OZNIUM IF U HAVE BLUE LED'S IN YOUR CAR!!!! compared the oznium colt cathode kits to the superbrightleds the color is so different!!! my new colt cathode kits looks puprle compared to my royal blue dome lights.. so dont get them!!!! if u want something u could try the LED STRIP from oznium.com oznium is cheap.. the ship fast but the cold cathode kits are poooop! get LED stripes from them! chyz-dad 10-28-2007, 02:50 PM I need to know how to pull the plug back into the dome light housing if it accidentally gets push in...Help seriously needed. CSOCSO 10-28-2007, 05:40 PM I need to know how to pull the plug back into the dome light housing if it accidentally gets push in...Help seriously needed. u need to take out the whole plastick housing!!! its really hard to take it out dont force the back.. only the end wich is close to you * where the button is. to put it back.. u have to put the back end of the hopusing to the middle of the hole, push it up and push it back to its place.. and just pop in the front end. chyz-dad 10-31-2007, 11:10 AM Thanks got it......them darn bulds can be tough to get out..... I did get them however. aznaflacattack 11-20-2007, 12:45 PM does anyone know if all the tCs use the same dome bulbs? CSOCSO 11-20-2007, 04:44 PM yes they use the same. just go back a few page and check out my write up.... riki 11-23-2007, 08:36 AM I tried to mess with it before I saw this o- o ... I'm a tad weary about giving up my credit card information, I usually pay with paypal... Anyone had any trouble? aznaflacattack 11-25-2007, 01:55 AM anyone have a write up on removing the license plate light? CSOCSO 11-25-2007, 02:32 AM open the trunk.. locate that two plastick cover between the two handle (inside wall of the trunk) get a flat head screw driver and pop off the two cover.. now put your hands inside and try to find the connector.. twist it and take it out... same thing what you have to do with the parking light... when u get the connector out.. just pull out the bulb and insert the led... put the connector back.. twist it.. put the plastic covers back. aznaflacattack 11-25-2007, 03:11 AM so all it needs is a good pull? CSOCSO 11-26-2007, 01:04 AM yea Crimsontc 11-26-2007, 04:37 PM Awesome. ordered a ton of em, just about every light inside the car will be red, also ordered a couple UV just to check it out. CSOCSO 11-26-2007, 04:41 PM cool!! Crimsontc 12-03-2007, 05:35 PM Got my LEDs in three days with USPS, came exact as ordered. Install was easy, although the 5 blulb LEDs aren't quite as bright as I would like on the interior lighting. Went with UV bulbs throughout, and the look is awesome. The most exciting change though is the running lights in the head lamps. swapped those with the UV bulbs as well. It looks freakin awesome. Pics to come, hopefully this evening. Crimsontc 12-04-2007, 12:43 AM http://www.scionlife.com/gallery/personal/56683_1.jpg UV LED's replaced running lights http://www.scionlife.com/gallery/personal/56683_3.jpg http://www.scionlife.com/gallery/personal/56683_4.jpg UV Dome lights, doesn't look this bright in person. Overall, I'm pleased, but will be ordering the square strip to go in the dome. CSOCSO 12-04-2007, 05:35 AM nice.. do you have HID? how does the uv parking lights goes with the low beams?? i love the blue lughts it gives a a little nice blue effect to my HID... ( u dont see any blue on the road or anything.. its just cool when u look at me headlights:D) Crimsontc 12-04-2007, 01:15 PM They are subtle, just enough to be seen and look sinister. The pictures don't really do them justice. Will try to get better ones with more light. The headlights are stock 08 projectors. LEDmod 12-08-2007, 05:15 AM Becareful with UV LED light.. UV light can damage your eye... In long-term view... There are some are OK, but it's better to be safe then sorry..... Crimsontc 12-10-2007, 02:13 PM Becareful with UV LED light.. UV light can damage your eye... In long-term view... There are some are OK, but it's better to be safe then sorry..... Really? Whats the difference between UV and a black light then? CSOCSO 12-10-2007, 05:44 PM its the same i think.. back in europe i think we didnt even called this light as black light.. everyone call it uv light.. CSOCSO 12-10-2007, 05:45 PM and i know 1 guy who had damage to one of hes eyes because of an UV light was bad in the club......... LEDmod 12-10-2007, 06:34 PM Becareful with UV LED light.. UV light can damage your eye... In long-term view... There are some are OK, but it's better to be safe then sorry..... Really? Whats the difference between UV and a black light then? A tube black light is a basically a fluorescent lamp with a different sort of phosphor coating. This coating absorbs harmful shortwave UV-B and UV-C light and emits UV-A light (in the same basic way the phosphor in a fluorescent lamp absorbs UV light and emits visible light). The "black" glass tube itself blocks most visible light, so in the end only benign long-wave UV-A light, along with some blue and violet visible light, passes through. An incandescent black light bulb is similar to a normal household light bulb, but it uses light filters to absorb the light from the heated filament. It absorbs everything except the infrared and UV-A light (and a little bit of visible light). Depends on UV LED, some might not cause damage, but some will... But it's best to avoid UV LED that is near out eye... It's best to be avoid them then sorry... CSOCSO 12-10-2007, 06:57 PM get blue lights............... for the parking lights the uv is okay.. i think.......... Crimsontc 12-11-2007, 06:24 PM Cool, thanks for clarifying. Put the UV's in mostly for show. bu considering the information, will have to figure something else out. Thanks again for the FYI. DigitalReaper 01-06-2008, 11:20 PM 28 Pages and not a single Amber LED user? Or did i miss it? I was interested in using Amber for the domes and super white for the map lights. If anyone has used Amber, i would love to see pics or atleast know if the Amber matches the amber gauges and interior of the tc.? Also, i seen this used for the dome a few pages back. Would this work well for the license plate lights, since it appears to be very white with no blue color. http://www.superbrightleds.com/store/html/images/wled-whp.jpg CSOCSO 01-06-2008, 11:53 PM dont use that for the license plate... it will be not bright enough.. DigitalReaper 01-07-2008, 01:29 AM dont use that for the license plate... it will be not bright enough.. Can you point me in the right direction? As white and bright as possible. Thanks, Yanki01 01-07-2008, 02:10 AM they were pretty bright for me along with the other who used them. Joyride 01-07-2008, 02:13 AM those are pretty bright... CSOCSO 01-07-2008, 03:22 AM i made a write up a few pages ago... you gonna find it easy.. its a really big post with some pics of the leds... DigitalReaper 01-13-2008, 06:20 AM I got my LEDs today!!! SiKoTiC 01-14-2008, 05:09 PM Thanks man. I got my front ones done! back will be done soon. Thanks alot for this DIY CSOCSO 01-17-2008, 06:53 AM i just installed my new white dome lights: 921-x12 LED Wedge Base Bulbs http://superbrightleds.com/products/car/921-x9_All.jpg the blue must be greenish but the white is SOOOO MUCH brighter than the 6 led one.. i love the white one whit this 12 leds.. The_Place_Where 01-25-2008, 09:21 PM Are the amber LEDs (the ones recommended at the beginning of the topic) close to the same color as the amber of the gages? Also, I don't want something thats too bright if I have to turn it on at night (to look for something, ect.), should I get the x4-LED or stick with the x6-LED? Sorry if someone already mentioned this, I looked through the topic, but didn't notice it. DigitalReaper 01-25-2008, 11:10 PM the amber bulbs actually put out less light than stock bulbs, but they do cast the same color as the rest of the interior so they match nicely. I used amber for dome lights and the white for the map lights, so if i really need to see something i always use the map lights. CSOCSO 01-26-2008, 12:32 AM if u dont need too bright leds u can try this: WLED-x LED Wedge Base Bulbs they have 1 super bright led on the top.. they are not that bright but maybe this what you looking for... http://superbrightleds.com/products/car/WLED-x_all.jpg CSOCSO 01-26-2008, 12:35 AM oh and about the amber... my bro has a new 08 tc.. and i wanted to get him some yellow leds for his parking light but there is no yellow led so i went to the autozone store and got some amber bulb for him... i installed it for him and the color is really good! almost yellow.. much much better than the stock bulbs!!!! if u need yellow lights try the amber leds!!!! of the amber leds arent that yellow go to an auto store and get those amber bulbs ( they have yellow packaging) The_Place_Where 01-26-2008, 05:09 AM Thanks for the info! I'll be ordering them tonight. =) JakeK 01-27-2008, 02:08 AM well, me being a dumbass, i ordered two blues and one white for the front dome, when i wanted one blue and two whites. i sent them an email after i ordered, so i hope they fixed it. but i ordered them a week ago(exactly). havent come yet, said they shipped on the 23rd. JakeK 01-28-2008, 10:09 PM got my LEDS today. pretty impressed. i dont think people really need a guide for this, but i guess so, since so many twisted. I ended up getting the wrong colors, so i have one blue maplight, one white maplight, blue dome front and back. anyone wanna trade a white for a blue? CSOCSO 01-29-2008, 12:04 AM if u got it from superbrighleds then send it back he would change it i think! DigitalReaper 01-29-2008, 02:58 AM yea superbrightleds are really good about making sure you get what you want. viventi 01-29-2008, 11:02 PM i just did this too, went with red instead of blue though....very nice! Waiting for arrival! yellowxhoodie 01-30-2008, 04:42 PM i got white and green to put in my SW. pretty pathetically excited. prob just cuz i finally get my car back Fri after not having it for 3 weeks, and ill have something to do when i get it back. DeFinity 01-31-2008, 01:01 AM Exactly which bulbs are the best to get there are sooo many. BZinn1 01-31-2008, 02:08 AM ^have you tried Oznium he offers great products......I went with all Oznium.........check out his dome lights that have like 20 bulbs in them they are incrediable........spendy but well worth it.........I got front and back and the entire interior is glowing brite orange with them. yellowxhoodie 02-05-2008, 07:28 PM just popped mine in while on break at work. i found it was actually easier to removie the whole plastic part rather than just the clear light cover. That way you can pop out the pieces that are holding the bulbs in which makes them easier to get out. Sorry, im bad at explaining stuff, ill post pics of my setup tonight and if anyone wants further explanation i can post pics so youll understand better. dqlostsoulz 02-06-2008, 03:14 AM Here is my problem, i was all excited about changing my dome lights that the part that the light bulb hooks in to popped in so i started to take off the whole dome fixture and as i was pulling it off the light and harness fell right in to the gap by the e-brake and through the hole of the frame. I took off my whole center console, took the bolts of the e-brake and tried sticking my fingers through the holes on the frame of the car it was hard scratched up my hands. Had my fingers on it a few times then lost i somewhere under the stick shifter. So my question is do you know anyone who just sells the harness for the bulb because i have been looking around and all they sell is the whole dome light fixture for $85 and all i need is the lil piece that the bulb goes into. Thank you.... CSOCSO 02-06-2008, 03:47 AM ppfff.. thats sucks.. ni.. i dont know anyone selling that part only :( sorry DigitalReaper 02-06-2008, 03:53 AM sorry , that really blows. Bite the bullet and go to the dealer. There is a chance they may be able to get a specific part number, but either way you are gonna pay quite a few bucks. Good luck. dqlostsoulz 02-06-2008, 04:48 AM Yeh it does suck i should of been more careful....that mistake is going to set me back $98 dollars through the dealer! aznaflacattack 02-06-2008, 05:45 AM you can try your luck at a junk yard aznaflacattack 02-06-2008, 05:46 AM any one changed the light in their cubby hold? what size is that bulb? dqlostsoulz 02-06-2008, 06:05 AM I doubt there would be any scion at the junk yard. beyond305 02-06-2008, 06:20 AM all blue interior. front dome and maps, mid and hatch. http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/2913/1000640sb2.jpg http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/8650/1000634ha0.jpg http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/3651/1000638dp0.jpg dqlostsoulz 02-06-2008, 06:43 AM Just replaced my parking lights with blue bulbs...not LED because i read they burn out faster. CSOCSO 02-09-2008, 08:23 PM yes. ParadoxTC 02-20-2008, 08:21 AM I looked through the rest of this thread but I'm not sure whether to get the 3022-x4 LED festoon bulb or 3022-x9 LED festoon bulb for the trunk light. Which one fits more? I read that the 3022 x 4 LED is a little too big for the trunk.. CSOCSO 02-21-2008, 01:58 AM I looked through the rest of this thread but I'm not sure whether to get the 3022-x4 LED festoon bulb or 3022-x9 LED festoon bulb for the trunk light. Which one fits more? MikeCoz 02-21-2008, 03:59 AM Who has a '08 tC? I put in blue LEDs in for parking lights. What number of LEDs does everyone have because I have 1 LED wedge based. I am worried if i had 6 led for my parking lights i would be pulled over since i live in New York. The 08's have a different area where the parking light project so im nervous. CSOCSO 02-21-2008, 04:10 AM yeah.. i wont put red or blue led in there.. only white or amber... 1 or 6?? makes no diff. its blue.. if they will pull you over you gonna get ticket.. even if u have only 1 led... btw i seen an 08 tc with WLED 1-LED he had a blue led and it wasnt that bad.. MikeCoz 02-21-2008, 03:34 PM Are the 6 leds brighter in parking lights than the 1? MikeCoz 02-21-2008, 03:40 PM I saw that superbright has 9 or even 12 leds in color CSOCSO 02-21-2008, 11:06 PM of course the 6 led is brighter than the 1... Yanki01 02-22-2008, 02:48 AM just went on superbrightleds.com to check them out. Havent been on in a while. Saw a couple of bulbs that look interesting to me and i might try them out.... for the rear..... http://www.superbrightleds.com/store/html/images/HPfestoons3022.jpg for the fronts (they come in 3300k and 8500k. Ill get one of each) http://www.superbrightleds.com/store/html/images/wled-whp6.jpg im gonna order them, should get them sometime next week. Ill post some pics of the difference. MikeCoz 02-22-2008, 04:15 PM what should i use in the front? CRUZtc8 02-22-2008, 04:28 PM 194/168 . MikeCoz 02-22-2008, 06:44 PM no no... i mean should i use the 4 led or 6 led or 9 led or 12 led in front parking lights. mind u i have a '08 tc which the lights are in different spots than the 07 imsonofagun 02-22-2008, 11:29 PM If you want bright, either go with the 1 watt LED or a size 921 LED bulb for the parking lights. I have the 1-watt 168 bulb with built-in heatsink for the parking lights and have lasted for several months now (05-07 tC's tend to burn out LEDs when used as parking lights). Oznium has LED arrays for the domes that work pretty good. I used a red one for the rear dome. I used white 12-LED 921 bulbs for the map lights which are pretty bright (originally tried them for reverse lights, but not enough useable output). I used a 1-watt LED for the front dome and it's decent. CSOCSO 02-23-2008, 04:14 PM 12 led for the front dome... its the best. brightest so far!!! BZinn1 02-23-2008, 05:42 PM ^yep Oznium 12 LED in the front is very bright........I also gothte flexable one for the back and it is bright as well.......... MikeCoz 02-23-2008, 08:09 PM flexable? so u can use a 12 led for the interior dome too? how about the front led parking lights? how many leds is right? because i use 1led for mine now. CSOCSO 02-24-2008, 06:14 AM this is the 12 led what im talking about: 921-x12 Wedge Base LED bulb *whoops inserted the whole damn msg.. .sorry...* MikeCoz 02-24-2008, 11:36 PM Thanks that helped a lot! B_Izzle 02-25-2008, 03:10 AM after I switched the bulb in the trunk/hatch, the LED in my front dome light now flickers. Its the main dome light, not the pilot lights, and it flickers when its on, not when its fading in/out. I dunno if its a pure coincidence, or some how I caused a short or something, but its annoying to have that light flicker. I guess i'm going to get more LEDs and replace that one. Hope that does the trick. I need to swap the lights in my license plate anyways.... tCeeder 02-25-2008, 08:55 PM so for the front dome light i'm looking for something superbright and white.... this is the right one yes? http://www.oznium.com/led-domelight im looking for the same thing for the map lights as well... i was going to go with a couple of these from superbrightleds.com 921-x12 Wedge Base LED bulb what about the front parking lights.. the little tiny bulb, which bulb you guys recommend? CSOCSO 02-25-2008, 09:02 PM which led did you have? B_Izzle 02-25-2008, 09:25 PM which led did you have? the 6-LED super white, as described in the OP. Yea, it would appear that *one* of the 6 LEDs in the bulb is flickering. CSOCSO 02-25-2008, 09:56 PM front dome lights?? white?? try this: 921-x12 Wedge Base LED bulb dont look in it with naked eye... :D:DD:D its bright!!!!! B_Izzle 02-25-2008, 11:07 PM so its normal for these LED bulbs to start flickering after a few months? Yanki01 02-25-2008, 11:24 PM just went on superbrightleds.com to check them out. WAlterEgo 05-11-2008, 09:24 PM looks "cool" to me. agentapple 05-11-2008, 11:06 PM does anyone know if they have a connector for the hatch/trunk light? D1G1T4L 05-13-2008, 02:44 AM Sorry I took so long to reply. I'm pretty sure I got cool white as I wanted it to match any other white LEDs I have, many of which are only available in cool white. I decided against doing the map lights, as I don't want this crazy amount of light when I'm driving at night. But if you were so inclined, I'd go with the 1"x1" - I'm not sure that you could fit 1.5's on the sides. For the hatch, it comes with several different sized festoon adapters. I bet one would work. Follow the link from my post, then go up a level. Look at the superflux LED array, and go into the "More Photos." There you'll find an image that shows the assortment of adapters that these things come with. It's possible to play around and bend the bulb holder pieces inside the hatch light to make it fit bulbs that are not an exact fit - I did this with the superbrightleds.com bulb I have in there. Also, if you have any questions or problems, contact Oznium. They'll answer any questions you have, and if you buy the product and it doesn't work out for you they will take it back with no hassle. agentapple 05-13-2008, 05:43 AM Thanks DIGITAL, i'm gonna pick some up and give them a try, looks dope! Necromancer 05-29-2008, 07:04 PM I'm going to do this too. I like these writeups because I need help with everything in the car. I plan on putting fatmat on the doors today and I saw Mandos's writeup and now I know how to take apart the door interiors. My future mods to my 05 of 3+ years LOL: -Changing interior lighting to blue -Added aux input to my cd player -Applying FatMat -Fixing alternator whine from my system :) jfoldmei 08-06-2008, 06:46 AM I did the same thing (didn't even know this article was here haha.) But I used the 9 LED SMT tower 194 from autolumination.com, it gives more even overall lighting (for the center light,) also it distributes light 360 degrees... it lights up the whole car when I hit unlock. :) I don't think any larger of a bulb would fit though. g_what 08-06-2008, 06:08 PM this is a great writeup. i really wanna put blue leds in my car ant05us 08-09-2008, 01:15 AM nice beedee 08-22-2008, 11:09 PM great write up! i bought pretty much the exact set up as the OP did and just installed them in under 10 minutes! i placed my order with superbrightleds.com on monday night and received them today, friday (i live in cali). all bulbs work great and i can't wait until its dark to see their true colors! superbrightleds.com customer service was great, i initially only ordered cubby bulbs, but then decided i wanted to do the dome/map lights and made another order. i called them the next morning to see if they could combine the order and they did it without hesitation (saving me $5). i had also accidently ordered 3 of the blue lights, when i should have ordered 2 cool whites and 1 blue, the gal on the phone said no problem and made the adjustment and my order arrived perfectly! i popped out the front dome assembly like squail mentioned, it was very easy to do, and putting it back in its place was just as easy! i also used packing tape to wrap around the stock bulbs and carefully wiggled back and forth with a little bit of tension to get them to back out, whoever suggested using the tape trick is brilliant, it worked without a hitch! mixtasy 09-20-2008, 08:26 PM Does anyone know the part number for the front dome light plastic cover? mine melted and i need to replace it. Thanks =) trrocks03 09-22-2008, 05:58 PM I just did this with LEDs from garage1217. It looks great! I saw the one with the plate and that is rediculously bright. I am not sure I want that much light, but I might do that someday. My LEDs totaled about $10 whereas the plate things from oznium would be about $50. I am very satisfied anyway. It took literally 7 minutes ( I took my time). kojack2469 09-25-2008, 01:07 AM help please! while attempting to change my dome and map lights, I've twisted instead of wiggled. and now the lights are up in the assembly housing. The cool white LEDs do look fairly blue and the cop bugged me about that too. So I got those PIAAs and am really pleased with the color, and I know they'll last longer than those LEDs. Anyway to get that super bright dome in red and retain white map lights? D1G1T4L 02-27-2009, 04:54 AM Yeah it would be easy. The front dome is three bulbs. Middle is the "dome light" controlled by the three-way sliding switch, and the "map lights" on either side, controlled by the buttons. Just get the red LED array dome for the middle, and leave the sides stock or put in different white LEDs. Get the array for the back dome too and you'll be all set. mengsta 03-09-2009, 07:24 AM Hey guys i could find any through the search but im sure this is a very obvious and common question. Does your dome light led bulb And the rear dome light led stay partially lit when set to "door" even though the car is fully locked and closed? Something to do with the resistors i assume. The B9 one is really is superbright in blue. rosedaleny806 05-28-2009, 01:40 AM u have a link to which one ur talking bout? i have the blue 3022 4led in the rear and trunk but im tired of blue so im going witha ll white any pics?? and a link to whichbulb ur talking bout DJ08tC 05-28-2009, 01:48 AM Yea I had blue too and it was too bright and annoying so I had bought white just in case and switched to those. http://www.superbrightleds.com/images/products/car/festoons/3022.jpg The 3022x9 is at the top, that is what I had in blue and it was really bright, I dont have it in white though. I just have the 3022x4, it is pretty bright but not too bright that it is annoying. Heres the page http://www.superbrightleds.com/festoon.html rosedaleny806 05-28-2009, 01:50 AM yeah i want the 3022x9 in white i have the 3022x4 right now in blue i like it jus tired of the whole blue theme. and u say its a tight fit but it definatly fits?? D1G1T4L 05-28-2009, 01:53 AM ok well i have blue in my interior, dome map cubby etc. i know which one im choosing for my 3 map lights but for the festoon does that big square festoon fit back there? and in the trunk? and im going with the wide led for the parking and license plate lights Check my pic of the the uninstalled bulbs on the last page, the big festoon fits in the rear dome and the small one fits in the trunk with some convincing. I would steer you away from the wide-angle LEDs, they burn out fast in the headlights and mine in the rear plate eventually failed causing me to be pulled over (when they fail they turn into strobes). I'd go with something incandescent like the PIAAs I linked to last page. DJ08tC 05-28-2009, 01:56 AM yeah i want the 3022x9 in white i have the 3022x4 right now in blue i like it jus tired of the whole blue theme. and u say its a tight fit but it definatly fits?? Yea, I wish I got the 3022x9 in white but I was expecting to get tired of the blue so fast. Yea it was tight but defiantly fits and works. rosedaleny806 05-28-2009, 02:01 AM alryte well im set on the 3022x9 for the dome lights. 3022x4 for the hatch and HIGH powered for the 3 map lights (the one yanki posted) now im kinda iffy on the wide led aswell i heard they die out quick. what other one would u recommend digital that wouldnt be piaa's? i have had and still have the 194 4-led in my headlights right now DJ08tC 05-28-2009, 02:16 AM The 3022x9 is a bright bulb. What license plate bulbs do you have from superbrightleds, and how long did have they lasted? rosedaleny806 05-28-2009, 02:22 AM actually that was the ones i have not bought from them i had the garage1217 license plate bulbs which kinda looked like wat yanki posted but not really they were bright as hell and looked almost identical if not better then lexus lights but thats jus my opinion i had them for less then a year and they died out on me but they were good. now im jus looking for sumthing better for the license plate light, im looking at these for the license plate but not sure. http://www.superbrightleds.com/store/html/images/wled-whp6.jpg DJ08tC 05-28-2009, 02:30 AM hmm never seen those before. Which one did yanki post? Yanki01 05-28-2009, 02:36 AM ive posted on other threads about my license plate lights. ive tried plenty of LED's supposed to be WHITE but all showed too much blue, at least enough to get pulled over for them a while back. Ive had these Polarg WHITE bulbs in for a good while with zero problems and i love the color. http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=100674&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=240 i also bought those bulbs Garage was selling, just not what i was looking for. http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=256885&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=40 all in all, ive stuck with these in my license plates and have zero plans on changing them... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3064/3066265027_022dea831f_o.jpg rosedaleny806 05-28-2009, 02:41 AM Yep thats the one i had from garage i actually liked them alot but i know wat u mean about them being alil blueish and i had the polarg with the blue tips when i first had my car, they looks great, yes but after a year and half with them the blue faded on me i have NO clue why i liked those alot too, the blue faded almost to a nasty greenish yellow. I think im gonna go with the one i posted b4. the one that looks like a chip lol D1G1T4L 05-28-2009, 04:11 AM what other one would u recommend digital that wouldnt be piaa's? The PIAAs are the only ones I have experience with. The ones that Yanki posted look pretty much just like them. rosedaleny806 06-04-2009, 02:47 AM Received my new leds today the pics dont do them justice they look so bright http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/KeNO1/DSC03514.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/KeNO1/DSC03515.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/KeNO1/DSC03516.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/KeNO1/DSC03517.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/KeNO1/DSC03518.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/KeNO1/DSC03520.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/KeNO1/DSC03521.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/KeNO1/DSC03522.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/KeNO1/DSC03525.jpg DJ08tC 06-04-2009, 03:05 AM What license plate ones did you get? Garage1217 06-04-2009, 03:06 PM Wow that is strange. They do not get near as hot as a standard bulb so that would not be the issue. Heck, I can touch one after it has been on an hour without a sizzle sound like a standard bulb haha. What was the issue with the harness..? And thanks for the kind words. rosedaleny806 06-04-2009, 04:19 PM Wow that is strange. They do not get near as hot as a standard bulb so that would not be the issue. Heck, I can touch one after it has been on an hour without a sizzle sound like a standard bulb haha. What was the issue with the harness..? And thanks for the kind words. I have no clye wats up with my harness thing, the right harness doesn't hold the bulb tight its loose and even with the new bulbs I put it in the right one doesn't hold it in place too great I thought it was bc of the first LED I had bc once I put a regular bulb in it was fine but nope its the actual harness cause when I tried installing ur bulbs on my mothers car it worked perfectly fine Garage1217 06-04-2009, 04:29 PM Hmmm man that is crazy. Sounds like one of the contacts broke inside the harness. I would hit up a junkyard tC, cut off the plug & crimp the replacement back in. rosedaleny806 06-04-2009, 04:50 PM yeah its a pain, I need to hit up a junkyard soon and I won't have to cut it all I need is to jus unclip it and get another one tvdang7 06-24-2009, 05:20 PM ahh need help. i just found this thread . well i twisted the bulb and the socket popped off and is lodged inside. how do i take the whole thing out so i can resecure the sockets. rosedaleny806 06-24-2009, 05:26 PM jus pull it straight down (the whole assembly) and it will be right there, then once u get it jus screw it/rescure it back in ScionRS1 07-18-2009, 06:18 AM Anyone have an idea how to get the plastic piece within the dome light out of the hole lol, i accidently spun the bulb and then had the bulb come out of the female part of the bulb set up. I dont want to pull the whole light down because i dont want to ruin my headliner... breaux_tC 07-18-2009, 06:23 AM how do people screw up something so simple? Steventc07 09-02-2009, 03:55 AM if people want to stop having 'sparks' while installing and blowing fuses while installing they need to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery first. no electrical work should be done with the battery hooked up!! also ordered mine :D 08superwhitetc 09-04-2009, 05:11 AM nice:clap::clap: NaH` 09-05-2009, 10:05 PM Excellent post!
