Default Do you hate the Seatbelt Reminder as much as me? This Thread is for you..

OK guys I just found this new trick.

I do ALWAYS wear my seat belt but my mailbox is at the end of my driveway which is about 75 feet long and I HATE the beep and it's just as annoying to put my seat belt on for 30 seconds of driving just to be able to drive in silence.

SO I found the best solution. This does not involve any sketchy crap either that may disable your airbags which I refused to do.

Here you go guys. Not sure this has been posted here or not yet but for those that don't know.

PS... Please wear your seat belt. This is just so you don't have to hear the noise if you remove your seat belt to get out or drive for 30 feet to your garage or something.

Buzzer Reminder Cancel Mode Setting

1) Set the LCD on the combination meter to the ODO display.
2) Press and hold the TRIP meter reset **** for ten seconds or more within six seconds of turning the
ignition switch to the ON position. Fastening the driver's seat belt while holding the **** cancels the
buzzer reminder.
3) When this occurs, the LCD displays "b-OFF". The buzzer reminder can be switched between ON and
OFF each time the TRIP meter reset **** is pressed. The LCD displays "b-ON" or "b-OFF" according
to the buzzer reminder ON/OFF status. The display changes to the ODO or TRIP meter if the **** is not pressed for ten seconds.
4) Performing steps 1) and 2) again when the buzzer reminder is off exits cancel mode.
5) The cancel mode will also exit when the battery or combination meter connector is reconnected.

Yes, I tested this method and it is a factory option added to ALL Toyota vehicles and works. Worked for my 2010 tC and my wife's 08 Camry.

Here you go: http://clubsciontc.com/forums/diy-in...n-dances-1126/

Hopefully it's okay to post a link to another forum, BUT that is a wealth of information you can do with the trip reset button

You should have just moved your house closer to your mailbox.
