So many different answers in posts :nails: I am getting 18x7.5 inch wheels with a +45 offset and want to use 215/40/18 to give a little more cushion. I have the tanabe df210 springs and am sitting about 2 inches lower and have the onetongarage spacers. Anyone think ill have problems rubbing with that tire, i really dont want to run 215/35/18's but will if i have to.

Thanks for your help.

according to every thing i have heard if you have the spacers 10mm rear and 5mm upfront you should be alright.
45 is a bit high but if you have read up you know this. Im sure more will chime in,

THIS IS NOT FROM EXPERIENCE, JUST RESEARCH, FYI

Good luck

Just ordered rims for YELOSUB. We ordered them from www.wheelsdirectonline.com We also ordered the 18 x 7.5 with 45 offset, Konig Unknown. Tire size is 215/40/18. I am also wondering is if i will have a problem with the 45 offset? Should i go with a 42 offset. Per Konig and my salesman they recommend the 45 offset. Any advice please help. I have read and read but I can't find a post about the 45 offset. Does the 45 offset mean my rim will be closer to the outside fender or inner side?

42 over a 45 anyday, the rear will rub on your swing arm with a 45offset. It sits too far in. Less is more as far as offset is concerned with these cars.

Thx ugly duck and the others for your info. I called the company and I am going to have them order me the 40 offset instead of the 45.

That sucks, just got a call from the place I was ordering my rims from and they do not make the rim I want in a 40 offset. :flame: I dont want to have to shim or use spacers. I guess it's on to hunting for some different rims.
