A CD in a bank has nothing to do with the stock market. If the stock market crashes, I still have a good amount of money in my cd at chase bank, pulling interest at a locked in rate by just sitting there.

not talking about specifically stock market...i just said market... as in everything... banks, stock included, everything else when the whole monetary system fails and i'm sure it will within 15 years.... and also 15 years to go from 1.2k to 9k... probably wouldnt even cover inflation lol... a kid could save up 9k in 15 years or less with a 20 dollar weekly allowance....but thats beyond this threads topic....
