1st attempt at painting interior pieces
Well i decided to just go right in and start taking interior out, sand, prime and paint. I was gonna do just some pieces but eventually I want all interior in orange, black, with some silver airbrushing later. So I started last weekend taking stuff out and sanding, and sanding some more, then used some bulldog adhesive promoter, primed, painted and couple coats of clear. This is where I am now, I still gotta do some touch up around the cup holders in the doors, but so far, so good, I think. I have both front doors done, radio bezel and trim around shifter. Back doors are sanded and will be primed in the morning along with the hatch door panel. And by no means am I saying this is right way to do it, this is first time I have ever attempted this. But figured a brand new car would be the way to learn. The doors are not completly smooth, partly because I didnt sand all the way down, and mostly because i wasnt going for the slick look, but mainly just want interior matching the outside and still ahve good smooth surface.
like i said, there are couple flaws, but first attemp, I am pround of it. The dash will be my next project closer to summer time. Still needs to b buffed out

Yeah, thats not what I wanted, everybody paints the small accents. I wanted different, something that stood out like the outside, eventually, maybe closer to summer I will finish painting the entire dash. Headliner is next, plan to wrap it with black suede next week

Thing is, I have thought about this also. Im not sure, I guess if its bad driving i can get a dash pad to go on it just while driving. The glare on the doors in sunlight looks awesome, but thats not shining in my eyes either while driving. It will be closer to summer when dash is done though.

I know how it will be, a buddy of mine has his dash fully glassed and painted bright green, but he doesn't drive his truck everyday so its no big deal. I think I'm just gone finish painting all the trim pieces and finish sanding what I have started, then wait til summer for the entire dash

i have the back panel off back door and back doors done now, should have them in tomorrow. Next is gauge surround and upper piece that pops off dash, grab handles, visor mounts, interior grey pieces at top of pillars. And hopefully will be wrapping headliner and door trim pieces next week

talk to me about the headliner. how did you go about that. did you take it off and say HEY wrap it in this? and what paint is that? did you have someone match your outside color n put itin spreay form?

No show car, this my daily driver. I just looked at headliner and decided I want to wrap it. Hopefully will start it next week. The paint was mixed by paint shop, they scan it and it was perfect match. Its dupont chroma base/chromaclear just like u would paint the car itself with
