Was wondering if anyone did this...

I want to put a TV in the stock location but am trying to get ideas on where to put the new deck

that be kind of pointless... I have some other ideas but I hate to stretch the wires super long... kind of want it where the driver can access it.

the one at the bottom? yea I know I loved the xB for that reason had the deck down below then a tv up top... worked out nice...

Just dremel out the cubby hole...if you don't want to do that you can get an aftermarket headunit with a detachable face, mount the chassis of the cd player somewhere else ie. armrest, and have the faceplate connected to it using some lan cable soldered to the connectors on the headunit and back of the face plate, I saw this on some site (forgot where) and it was tite!!!! You can mount the faceplate anywhere where the cable will reach! Make sure you're good at soldering tho...

Alot of HU's come with remote? Other options are: On top of the dash in a custom enclosure. Under the dash (I don't know about the knee airbags though...), in the armrest... The cubby would be tough. The shifter really gets in the way.
