I got a new clutch and flywheel that I want to get installed in my tC. Plan A was to do this work myself but for several reasons I've decided to find a shop to do it (or at least to get a price to re-motivate me to do it myself). I do have a shop in Cary that I trust but was looking for a more local shop to do the work. If anyone knows of a local shop that does GOOD work and doesn't mind working on a car with exhaust modifications could you let me know.

 

since I've been on fayetteville I do all my work myself, most places will rip you off or aren't familiar with our cars.

 

Yea I ran into that a few years ago when I was trying to get my car tuned locally. My hope is that just replacing the clutch wouldn't be so technical to require someone specialized in tCs but wanted someone that knows how to do it that didn't want to charge an arm and a leg. Guess I'll just draft a couple guys and try to do it at the self-help shop.

shouldnt be too difficult to change the clutch... ive only done it on RWD vehicles but the principle is still the same and having access to a tranny jack and 4 post lift makes it even easier...

 

That's the problem I've never messed with a transmission RWD or FWD. From everything I've read and those I've talked to that have done FWD clutches,it's not as easy as RWD.

Well I ended up taking my tC to a shop on Bragg Blvd called Rising Customs. Looks like they do a lot of work on Hondas but they were willing to swap it out for me. Time will tell if they did a good job or not but it does feel better.
