Mooneyzs 03-28-2005, 01:23 PM How about Spraying some undercoating or sound deadner on the wheel wells. Another option would be to use one of those do it yourself Bed liner stuff on it. like Herculiner. I did the Bed of my 71 El Camino and it looks great. I also think it would help Kill Road noise. mjdukehart2 03-28-2005, 01:25 PM How about Spraying some undercoating or sound deadner on the wheel wells. Is it a diy sort of thing that you can pick up at the autoparts store? pdrizzle 03-28-2005, 02:16 PM I wouldn't spray bed liner, it is probably very heavy due to its durability. I saw on here the other day, someone had sprayed their trunk area with a sound deadening material (I can't find it now). I did a quick search and found this thread, though: http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=45593&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=sound+trunk&start=0 It's a sound deadening comparison. Max 03-28-2005, 02:52 PM I put some eDead down on the floor, helped out a ton with the loud exhaust at 3k rpm. I plan on doing the same to the inner wheel wells soon. http://scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=54184 dougalast 03-28-2005, 02:58 PM For some reason i opted for the factory toyo-guard package - it includrd undercoating. I don't get much road noise compared to other boxes Mooneyzs 03-28-2005, 03:05 PM How about Spraying some undercoating or sound deadner on the wheel wells. I have seen that different autoparts stores carry different brads. I would try some of the sprayable undercoating first and then go from there. It would be the least expensive option.
