Default Xm receivers?

I have been looking at the xm receivers, and I was wondering if any of them are hard wired? Or is that only for the xm direct?
Like the delphi skyfi2, etc.
I have noticed that they seem to use the wireless fm method of listening to xm.

I am asking, cuz I just got xm from trdsparks, and now my girlfriend wants xm. She has a 2001 RX300.

I have the skyfi2, and use it wherever I go.
I used the pie-toy03 adpter in my xB (stock HU), used the Aux input on my new Headunit in my other car, and I have a home kit at home and one for work.

One reciever, one monthly price, 4 applications. practical for me.

FYI - the built in FM mod on the skyfi2 works, it works well, but an adapter sounds better, in some areas using the FM mod you'll get static.

I have the Delphi roady 2 and you can see pics of it in my gallery. It only cost 100 bucks and came with the home kit and remote. It took thirty mins to install. The FM mod does give off some static sometimes. But for 100 bucks why b***h?

Thats a nice flush install, did you do it yourself? I will get her the car kit, since she has a tape player.

most if not all of the XM kits out there give you the option of using line-in. They all have a line-out port just for the laymen and the lazys they provide FM-modulation. Line-out sounds better as always.

Even though i use the FM modulation with my roady2 i think it is a bit of an oxy moron. One of the reasons to get XM is to get better sound quality then you go and dumb it down back to FM completely trashing that benefit.

If you don't want to use the cig lighter adapter, xmfanstore.com store has a hard wire kit for the power.
