I wanted to put some vinyl or carpet on my doors. . . as you all know, both the xB and tC get nice linings on their doors, and we are stuck with industrial grade plastic. . .
I want to do a DIY, but I noticed that our doors are 1 piece. . . anyone have experience with this or advice? I mean, I could just spray some 3M high strength glue on there, but it probably wouldn't hold up on the long run. Staples are a possibility, but since these doors are 1 piece, there's no way to upholster the inside oval/panel without having the staples exposed.
Anyone have any experience or ideas? I'm sick of the scratches accumulating on my doors.

I have a crap load of scratches on the silver/grey parts of our doors and pillars next to the ac controls.
I personally don't like carpet on the doors. Its for old people, it reminds me of the Taurus (the retirees car of choice).

I like the way it is, clean and easy on the eyes. Even though it's one piece plastic, most people won't notice it until they look closely at it and say "hey~ I didn't even notice that"
You can try painting the center and instrument panel. Basically any area that's smooth to the touch. The bumpy texture area won't work well with glues and paints unless you sand it down~
