I would go with an all new head unit. Get something simple looking. I would go with a Alpine cda-9833/35/53/55 They all have a Built in Crossover to give you a bit more up front control on the sound you will be looking for.

Default ENDED UP BUYING A NEW DECK

last night i ended up buying a new deck. it's a simple mp3 deck, jvc kds51. not too flashy, but enough features for me to be happy. plus i heard if you use a rca converter it would lower your sound quality a little, and i didn't want to deal with any probs, so a new deck took care of that.

does any1 know if the toyota wiring harness will work with the scion?
does the stereo adapter for the toyota work as well...(the thing that converts double din to a single din)?
