Default tie rod ends bad?

i have a 2007 scion tc and was wondering just out of curiosity would bad tie rod ends cause a shiimying or shaking across the fron end of the car during certain speeds? also if they are leaking grease i suspect that it is probably time to replace them if i am correct on that. heres a pic or two off them just to show what they look like now. any info on this is appreciated just wanna make sure before i spend any money unneccessarily.

Grease is leaking you can just get a grease gun and kit and shoot grease back into it. boot isn't torn.
