Default Tires, drop, spacers????

Ok, I gotta order some new tires for the TC. Currently the car is sitting on H techs but I am looking at picking up a set of Racelands to drop it a tad more. That or S-techs but I really don't want to blow the stock struts out (got about 30k on the car).

I also have a set of spacers that are 15mm for the front and 20mm for the rear. I will be running my stock wheels for now.

My question is whether or not I will get rubbing if I got with the standard 215/45/17 tire, S-techs, and spacers? (this is just incase I say screw it to keep things cheap and worry about a blown strut down the road)

Obviously this is not such an issue with the Racelands because I can dick around with the height.

Trying to order my tires today so just trying to figure out the sizing. Keep in mind that I'm not going for a tucked or poked look but more so a flush look.

Thanks in advance fellas!

I have a feeling you're going to be tucked. Why don't you just get the difference of drop between H tech and S tech and then just measure the fender gap and imagine it being that much lower? If it's tucked, you probably won't be using the spacers. Don't think you need camber bolts either.

Eibach springs won't blow out your factory dampers.

Who said anything about Eibach??? The whole idea is to get the car a tad lower if I do anything. Hell H-techs are lower than Eibachs.

Why get Racelands when you can save a little more and get TEIN Basis coilovers which are around $750....Better Quality Manufactured parts that will be more durable and last!

I believe you will rub in the Rear but not that much though...Might as well get a GOOD quality rear fender roll first!

You mentioned in your own post about blowing a strut.

I'll just say you get what you pay for.
If you are lowering your car past 2" (where most reputable companies stop), your suspension will be too compressed, and will not only be resisting compression, but also side loads.

Sorry for the confusion, I haven't blown a strut yet. I was stating that if I went with lower springs than what I currently have that there could be a chance of the stock struts blowing out.

Also having tacked past cars many times, I am fully aware about the loss of compression and suspension travel. This particular car will probably never see the track and is just simply something fun for me to tinker with.

Even if you don't take it to the track, you can easily run out of travel and bottom your suspension if it's too low.

I understand for sure. I am definitely reluctant to go any lower with springs and stock struts. At this point I will installing the spacers, get an idea of where I'm at and then figure out what I am going to do. Right now, I am pretty much happy with the front of the car (maybe .5" lower) but the rear needs to be a good inch lower. My goal is to pretty much sit the fenders right on the edge of the tires. Not really going for that poked look but more of a flush clean look. I realize the best way to do this is to simply go with CO's and that may eventually happen but it will take money of course...and time to get the money!

You can lower it to zero fender gap when viewed from the side. Any lower, and you will have problems. That's a hair more than 2" drop.
