Default DG rear sway bar problems: Need help (UPDATED)

So it seems no matter how much I align or grease the bushings on my Dan Gardner rear sway bar, it still will clunk going over bumps. It will be fine for a few days after I grease them, but give it a week and the noise comes back. Im at the point of almost ripping the thing off and putting it back to stock. I think I have bad bushings. Does anyone know what bushings I can buy to replace the ones that I have installed? Would any 25mm rear sway bar bushing work?

Dezod has bushings very similar to the dg ones you have if you just want new ones. Otherwise, make sure everything is tight and that it isn't hitting anything. Did you install it when the rear tires had a full load of weight on them? The top bolts holding the brackets for bath side came off on mine. I was wondering why there was so much noise. Those bolts are the hardest size to find at every store I go to.

my progress sway bar used to be quiet, until I decided to grease it and then started to get the noise you are talking about. Reason it didn't before was, because the links were stuck and a bit rusty.

It was installed with the tires flat on the ground. I have re-adjusted the endlinks and Paul from Dezod was kind enough to look at the pictures and help me out a ton. The endlinks move freely as well. Brackets are torqued as best as I could to around 32 ft. pounds if I remember correctly.

there should be very little to zero movement of the endlinks. if you can shake the sway bar and the endlinks move..... you have an issue.

The only time a sway bar has ever made noise on one of my cars was because something was loose.

when i say i can move the endlinks, i mean i can spin them a little left to right on the sphere. Maybe I will try to tighten them more. Just is kinda annoying. How tight should I tighten them?

When I had this bar it helped adding a washer each bolt between the bracket and chassis. Those endlinks are loud.

I can't tell if its the endlinks or bushings. If I grease the bushings it will be fine for about a week or two. But its so annoying right now and my girl called my car a clunker cause of the sound. So now I have to change it lmao.

My bushings would more so squeak than clunk. I traded mine straight up for a TRD, couldn't be happier.

You're supposed to be able to move the end links.

^x2, I think they're supposed to move.

Anyway, my DG sway clunks just like yours. It didn't at first, started about a year after it was installed. I've spent a lot of time tweaking everything to try and minimize the noise, but no progress. I think it's something to do with the endlinks moving, and there's nothing you can do. I'm just going to try and live with the sound haha.

Did you actually ask Progress, DG Spec, or Dezod what they think?

I asked Dezod and he told me to make sure everything is tight. I re-tightened everything yesterday and it still makes the sound. Its so annoying. Do all sway bars make this much noise?

my trd makes no noise but of course it doesnt have adjustable endlinks which may be the cause of all the noise problems for you guys.

I think TRD uses the stock endlinks. You may be able to get away with stock endlinks on the DG bar, but you will probably have to stay on the softest setting.

yea the trd uses the stock endlinks but this bar would probably be too stiff for them. I have been running mine on the stiffest setting for like 60000 miles but I dont know how stiff that is compared to this bar, might be just as stiff as the softest setting for this bar.
