Default dash cluster color question on 2012 model

is it necesary to change all the leds in the cluster? or is there a setting to change the color of the instrament cluster? I just bought a 2012 scion xb... didnt know if it was a option or if i would need to change out parts.
thanks

Mike

Break out the soldering iron and LEDs.

and some $$ for a new gauge face if you're doing the whole thing and not just the digital displays.

You can change the individual LEDs for everything from the LCDs to you parking break light. LEDmod.com has a good guide on this forum you can use (search for it). I am probably not going to use a new gauge face for now because ledmod.com's gauges are nice but a ____ing rip off.

as you can see during the day the orange gauge blocks out the blue LED light

but when it is dark the orange gauge with blue LEDs makes a nice cyan color that I actually like (the tach and fuel gauge are 2x brighter in person phone's auto brightness drowned it out)

I'm actually not that lazy https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=212177 make sure you mark where you tach and fuel gauge needles sit to avoid spending a lot of time calibrating them like I did

der: like Cionide was pointing out, you actually have to remove the circuit board and use a soldering iron and remove the LEDs and replace them with whatever color you like

kinda not really. but i do agree that for the price theres other mods you can do.
the LEDmod gauge faces are OEM quality and have no light bleeding. pricey, but i wouldnt consider it a complete ripoff.
