Cutting Stock Springs
Have any of you guys cut your springs?
If so, do you recommend cutting them? I have read many articles saying that's fairly dangerous to do so. But i have a friend with a Lexus iS and he said the ride is just bumpier.
Thanks!

You're better off cutting your wrist.
Cutting springs is one of the dumbest things you can do with your car. ANY CAR! If you want to go low for cheap, buy Raceland coilovers. Many people are on them, and are happy with them. Myself included.

Does the term "cutting your springs" sound safe? I personally wouldnt wanna deal with it so I recommend not doing it. Buy aftermarket springs for $100-200 or cheap coilovers (rokkor/raceland for $300ish) depending on your desired drop (most springs wont get you the zero wheel gap look people want, except maybe s-tech's or something).
Scion community, Honda community, Chevy community, Ford community, they all have their uneducated population of people that don't know any better.
With that said, you should probably just ignore what your "friend" tells you, and if you don't know what you're doing........ Find someone who does. That's why you're on the forums, do NOT under ANY circumstance cut your springs, PLEASE. Save your life, and possibly the life of others and don't cut your springs
