i know this prolly has been posted but i for some reason could not locate the post, can someone give me an idea on which intake to put in my MT FM TC, please, i have heard go with the AEM, Weapon-r but maybe i can hear some good news from some that have already installed one in their car, thanks for the help and sorry if this is a DUPLICATE post and where i can find some for a great price

 

Well, now I'm biased since I have the K&N intake (blue). Sweet fit classy look and sounds great. It is a true cold air intake since the filter is in the wheel well.

 

Like ScionDad suggested, go with the K&N CAI. God only knows when the AEM one will become available. You can find it here:

I am not wanting a CAI, personally. ANyone know a good RAM intake?

 

weaponR has made good stuff for the honda b-series i believe, so i would imagine they would have something nice for the tc

 

the rainy season is ending now, but I was wondering if you've gone through any puddles with your CAI. I'm thinking about getting it but am really worried about that.

unless you go water skiing in your tc i wouldnt worry

 

if ur really worried about puddels can can always just pick up a bypass valve

 

definetely get the bypass valve installed, althought it robs about 1hp from the CAI, itll keep your car on the road.

 

You can just stick a BPV from AEM on the K&N?

 

i dont see why people are so worried about "puddles" with a CAI. trust me... i've had my K&N CAI on through some bad rain and the only way yer cold air intake is going to 'hyrdolock' is if the nose of the car is in complete water. the filter rests above the drivers side vent/grill and i doubt yer gonna be in puddles that deep. just my 2 cents.

ohh and a side note.... i heard the Weapon R short ram intake in person today and it doesnt sound nearly as nice or loud as my K&N cold air intake.

anyone one know, how much the K&N, WR, and AEM's hp and torque increase?

 

its about 4-6hp at the wheels different. The dyno's show a constant power gain all the way up except at like 1000rpm ish. But - I ordered the K&N and am expecting it to be just fine.
