Default IMO, the worst thing about the box is......

THE WINDOWS. This is really the first chance I've had to run with the windows down since I bought it. And I hate them. If you roll down the drivers window, the wind blows at a 90 degree angle right in my ear. And whats even worse is if you roll down the rear windows by themselves, the rumble sound is deafening. It sounds like a sunroof open when you hold down the little flap thingy.

I found if you roll down the drivers window, then just crack the 2 rear windows, it changes everything. No wind in the ear, no rumble sound.

My question is do those window vent visors help to stop that ?? I"d love to be able to cruise with the windows down and still hear the stereo or not go deaf with the wind.

Yes, vent visors will help with your issues. If you get them, I recommend the in-channel version, and the Wade brand seem to be very well made, and are quite popular around here.

I concure with MAX. I have the "in channel" wade visors and the really help. They are also great at stopping that big river of water that collects on the roof from running into your window!!

Worst thing is the lack of power. Jeebus. Good thing it has an agressive geared tranny.

The sun visors and OS handles ____ me off. $1 more in parts would have made a huge difference.

Worst thing about the box is the worst thing in every Scion. Lack of a volume ****! I freakin' HATE the up/down volume BUTTONS! I am the MTV generation, I want instant gratification and having to wait for my stereo's volume freakin' UPSETS me!

^^^^^true^^^^^

The funny thing is that they marketed the lack of a volume **** as being old school and they wanted to go with with newer technology.

I got a new HU to rectify this problem...and because the factory XM adapter is too dang expensive.

I've found several window combinations that work just fine for me. Basically, if you're blowing air in, you need somewhere for it to get out. The rumble is from air trying to go in and out of the same opening at the same time.

Things work fine for me with the driver window down (even all the way) and the opposite side rear window open a couple of inches, or with both rears open about an inch. Things also work fine with all the windows open.

It was perfect weather the other day and I was cruising the highway at about 80 with all windows open all the way. Except for the noise of semis, it was totally enjoyable.

The lock/unlock button. It might just be me, but isn't it the opposite of most other cars?

Could also use some more sound deadening material in the headliner, but hey, that's a mod I can do sometime in the future.

Scions new sun visors are absolutely sucktacular.

Biggest surprise was that I originally thought the 1.5L engine would be the biggest issue, but manual transmission seemed to solve much of that (my first test drive was with automatic)

Whats even more scarry is when you leave your windows half open and you close the door, *shudder* every time I hear that window shake I feel like it's going to break.

Oh.... who could forget about those VISORS!!

That's what I was talking about. The noise is killer. It almost hurts. But I agree with Old Punk, if you play around with other windows, it doesn't make it that bad. I'll try it with ALL of them open this time.
