I just put on my DC Sport Header. Now my check engine light is on because the stock exhaust manifold had a cat in it. Someone told me to buy a O2 simulator. I want to find out if anyone else has been through this.

It pulls one 02 sensor out of the flow a little so there is a difference in readings... which is what the computer is expecting. I believe there is a thread on this with instructions if you search. If I come across it I will post the link. nycazn79 04-01-2005, 03:48 AM Read this: http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=49748 and then do this: http://forums.evolutionm.net/printthread.php?t=99137 Getting an O2 simulator is a electronic fix and the antifowler trick above is mechincal fix. engifineer 04-01-2005, 03:50 AM Here ya go.. has some pics too. Better than me trying to describe it all :P I think if you read through all of the posts on there it explains it all. http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=49748&start=0 Boom12V 04-01-2005, 01:36 PM Thank you Tommy and Engifineer I am going to try this davo345 04-01-2005, 04:33 PM how does the car sound now with your headers installed? falcon9094 04-01-2005, 05:49 PM What torque specs did you use on the bolts? Boom12V 04-01-2005, 08:41 PM I went with what the torque spec that DC recomends. I wanted to say that I followed the link regarding the anti fouler plug insert and it seems to be working just fine. I did add one additional step. Having done automotive electronics for a long time I was pretty sure I could clear the check engine code if I diconected the battery for a few minutes. So that was the first thin I did then followed the rest of the link's info. Ta Da it worked.
