K&N Typhoon
Hey everybody I just ordered the K&N Typhoon intake for my 2011 xB. I probably should have asked before the order but does anybody else have this intake and if you do what do you think? I ordered it from fastscions.com since they are a sponor of this site and the tech rep was great to work with. Thanks in advance I will post pictures once I get it in the mail and installed.

Hey I received my intake yesterday day and I thought I would try and learn how to post pictures to my album and that work but I can't seem to figure out how to get them in the forum. Nonetheless I really like the quality of the product but I don't like the silver and the sticker is damaged. I will bringing it to the powder coating shop friday and will be getting it done in matte black or wrinkle black.

So I haven't posted in a while since I have been swamped at work but it's ok since it landed me a promotion a hefty pay raise. I just picked up my intake tube from the powder coating shop and it turned out great. I had it done in a wrinkle black to match the heat sheild and I might do the install tonight still time permiting but definitely this weekend.

Just got my Typhoon per UPS per Amazon: last one in stock & $232 w/free shipping
Heat shield is definitely 18-ga steel black crinlke finish. May have to look at a little thin reflective insulation though.
And, while I'm extracting the stock air box, picked up a short-throw QRD quickshift kit which install underneath. I'll post pics and first ride reviews asap.
