Smile Great aftermarket touchscreen Nav/DVD/mp3 player for FR-S?!??

Anyone upgrade or replace their very basic pioneer head unit yet?

I'm looking to replace the head unit with something reasonably priced, fits perfectly and keeps (if possible) the bluetooth phone call ability....

Would like if the unit had the following features;

Cd playback
DVD without parked restriction
Mp3
Navigation
Touch screen
USB

Any ideas???

Thanks!!

You could forget any aftermarket radio that lets you play dvd without the parking restriction, it's required by law to not let you do this cause it's a distraction for the driver.Even one's direct from the factory do not play video in the front. But you could just bypass it, but as for brands basically all of the top brands(Alpine,Pioneer,Kenwood, etc.) have everything else in a unit that you are looking for just search for it.

Main thing you have to worry about is if there's an radio installation kit available ready for your FR-S being that it's a new car.

I would assume the the radio kit is the same as the TC since they have a similar set up with the vents and center console... But could be mistaken

Here dude, since you're too lazy to search for something so simple.

Definatley want to go after market if you want Nav, Scion has a media interface called "BeSpoke", it's targeting social networking like FB twitter and such. Has a cool touchscreen and some interesting features like "scion radio channels. And then it has the illusion of having Nav but it's really just turn by turn directions like maps on iPhone. Very janky

Very janky setup! And I sell scion, I was dissapointed.

Just spent $1,000 for my "Best bang for your Buck" for a scion xb...Already had a type R 12 sub so that was not a cost to me..

And yes I grounded the parking wire to be able to watch DVDS while I drive....HEAVEN

i dont know if this would fit in the fr-s as the front of the fr-s standard pioneer headunit has a wide front faceplate...

ive been seeing a Metra headunit kit that basically fills in the gap of a standard double din unit but the finish of the "gap fillers" does not match the fr-s factory carbon fiber'esque dash plastic...

ughh this is so deperessinggg lol

I was at Car Toys just yesterday looking for a new stereo that would have an input for a rearview camera. Basically about $1,000 installed. I'll probably end up doing it, I just hate that there's a perfectly fine stereo in it that I'm going to rip out just because it's not compatible with a rearview cam...
