Is that a Spectre or a Spooky in the background? I've always wanted to check one of those out.

what is the SET area? I am located in fort walton beach, at hurlburt field, its about 35 minutes east of pensacola and about 45 minutes west of Panama city, and 10 minutes west of destin......and yes that is a pinstripe, and a spoiler....two options i didnt want but i needed my car quick so the dealership hooked a brotha up...about the plane, i think its a spooky, but im not sure im a fuels/POL guy so i spend all my time playin halo2 at work instead of studyin TO's...lol

Nice background. Bad pinstripe, but at least you didn't want it and did need a car asap so it seems.
The aircraft is a C-130 spectre. To the right of the C-130 is a C-47 which was used as gunship in the Vietnam War. The C-47 was called spooky. The on ein the pic is a standard transport model. The guns were mounted on the left side just as they are for the Herc.
Is that an aircraft museum at an AF base? Looks like they have some nice static displays. Are you in the AF? Where is your DOD sticker?

yeah im in the air force, 2 years and some change....i dont got my DoD sticker yet cuz the damn dealership hasnt got off their ___ and faxed me my registration paperwork so i cant get a sticker i have to get a temporary pass every couple of days...I work nights and i sleep all damn day and it seems every time i wake up the scion dealership is already closed that i bought it from in texas...
The background is at the Hurlburt Field airpark on base, Hurlburt Field AFB is down the street from Eglin AFB.
Yeah i dont really care for the pinstripe either so i may be attempting to take it off sometime soon, but really fear my paint comin off with it....
And as for the SET area, i was informed this stands for Southeastern toyota division??
if thats so yes im in the SET area down the street from quality imports Scion...they are good people.

Actually, the AC-130s have different callsigns depending on the model:

The AC-130H's call sign is "Spectre." The AC-130U's call sign is "Spooky. " The U-model is the third generation of C-130 gunships. All gunships evolved from the first operational gunship, the AC-47.
I can't tell if those 25mm or 40mm which is one of the differences. Anyway, decent car, TCgetonmylevel! Get started on some mods!

SET == SouthEast Toyota. I think it's Florida and the surrounding states. They seemed to be the ones doing the pinstriping on tCs and then selling that as an "extra" option.

And the AC-47 was known as spooky.
See below:
http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/history/vietnam/ac47.htm
Call signs are what each individual flight uses to denote itself.
Now lets get back to talking about cars.

That pic is great. I gotta start driving like that.

When are you coming back to DFW? Also, did you pick your tC up in Texas? I noticed the Inspection sticker.

Destin is nice, I used to go once a year on vacation. Mellow Mushroom Pizza is the bomb diggity!
