i just noticed that there is an oval flat surface made into the trunk for the rear scion emblem. has anyone debadged an xa yet? how does it look with nothing there? i don't like emblems. esp. how big the scion one is. the thing is huge!

there arent any holes under the badge.
you can put a toyota emblem there, and replace the xA one with the IST if you like the JDM look.
We did a DIY emblem removal article in the tech section.

yeah unfortunately if you are looking for the clean look then you won't get with the xA if you debadge it.

Like Randy said, you would have to get a Toyota emblem to replace it.

the badge is just so damn big. im gonna debadge the whole back end, and replace the rear scion emblem with one from the front. it's at least smaller. im not a fan of making cars into cars that it's, uh, not.

Have you considered that Toyota intentionally made the rear badge hyper-thyroid for a reason? Consider:

a) a big rear emblem makes the car look smaller,

b) with so many bozos crawling up your tailpipe trying to read the badge to figure out what the heck you're driving, this might be a safety feature?

c) that the big logo is infinitely more aesthetically pleasing than the big orange triangles that they make the Amish put on the back of their buggies....

So quitchergripin'.....strip the sucker off, and don't blame me if you become the hood ornament for a Hummer....

i had in mind that it's a commercial. try following the trend car emblems are going in and how big they've been in the past. they used to make emblems hella small. i don't mind carrying the scion name. but they had to make it so damn big.
