Default How much to fix this? Help!

Im trying to buy a 06-07 Scion tC and there's this hole in the seller car's bumper. How much would it be to get it fixed? The damage penetrates through the license plate and to the bumper and i can see what looks like styrofoam behind the bumper shell. Pic is attached

I haven't seen a new bumper for less than $100 and that's for an OE replacement. And I've never seen anyone who'd paint a bumper for $75. I'd take it to a body shop local to you and get an estimate on what it would cost to paint a new, primered bumper.

he said some lady backed up into him and she didnt have insurance lol. any suggestion for a price? I negotiated it down to 9.8k from 10.5k. it's an 06 with 47k mileage, sun roof, leather seats, fairly new tires and brakes. nothing really wrong with the car except for that hole.

word.
why spend money to fix it if you're going to put a license plate over it anyway?

I agree with them, as much as it would bug me if it happened to my car I would just cover it up with my new license plate and move on.

Given that its behind the plate just cover it up. If you wanted to fix or get a new bumper it will cost nearly the same. A shop with a decent paint job will run about 275+. The only way its worth getting a new one is if you have something else that needs to be sprayed. A shop will basically charge by what they order. Meaning they will order/mix more then you need.
