Good? Bad? Basically, you have to find a company that (a) wants to advertise in the market where you live, (b) likes the vehicle you drive (big or "trendy" are good things), and (c) you have to drive the number of miles per month in the area(s) where they want to advertise. For example, say "Company XYZ" wants to advertise a new product to college kids. You just happen to drive a car that college kids find "cool", AND you drive on or near a college campus "x" miles per month. THEN "Company XYZ" might pay you to ad-wrap your car. Be aware that many of these companies ALSO install a GPS unit to track you and make SURE that you're driving WHERE you're supposed to and how many MILES you're supposed to. :eyebrow: Also, this might be of interest, since it's in a similar vein: Free cars: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=216634 cingham 04-03-2005, 07:01 AM i was thinking of renting my xb fat walls out for advertising like 300 a month for a full car...sounds like a fair deal to me, pay for the wrap and it stays on for as long as you want. I work in a 1 mile block where the traffic sucks and basically sees a lot of people. just finding that person that wants to advertise is not easy grnxb 04-04-2005, 05:36 PM My wife had her new beetle autowrapped (when the NB first came out). She advertised for www.viva.com (don't know if they are still in business). It looked kewl, and she got about $300 per month for just driving it as she would normally. Pretty sweet for the duration of the contract (6 or 9 months). Didn't damage her car or anything. I'd autowrap the box if someone was willing to pay me. jdub 04-06-2005, 09:06 PM Thanks cingham 06-18-2006, 12:37 AM To bring a thread back from the dead I'm in the works with 2 companies that are both willing to pay the 300, yet its just waiting for them to get off their ___...free car payment woot! StylinCavy 06-18-2006, 11:04 PM How did you go about finding companys to want to advertise on you rcar? cingham 06-19-2006, 03:37 AM One of them here in vegas is HUGE on out door advertising. Its a lawyer and he probably spends around 5000+ as it is and 300 is a bargin for him. Other one was word of mouth since when ever I talk about my car I bring that idea up. Basically I can't shut up |
