Default Is this 06'Scion tC worth the price and other questions? (Pictures inside)

I have someone selling me a Scion tC 2006 with 88k mileage. Overall interior and exterior body looks perfect (detailed). He's selling it for $7000. He recently changed the front stabilizer links and o2 sensor a day ago. AC/Heat works, all electronic works. For some reason, the seller never installed HID but upgraded everything else.

The car comes with a few upgrades.
- The exhaust has been changed to a TRD Performance Exhaust.
- Tein Sport suspensions and tokico shocks (slightly lowered)
- Injencold air intake (red)
- Enkei wheels with like new 85% left tire thread
- Tints
- Lower lip added to the front of the bumper.

i'd say that is a pretty decent price.

Thanks ShawnBenton for your opinion

I just want to say that this is a serious deal and I already gave $100 deposit. I'm not just posting this for fun.

The vehicle has 2 owners by the way.

Check the VINs to make sure they're all the same, make sure the car has a clean title. At $7000 sounds like it's a salvage title, but you never know. Take it for a test drive and listen for anything unusual. Just because it looks clean doesn't mean it'll drive like new.

It's not a salvage title and it has never been into any accident.

The VIN number matches the hood and on the body. I took it for a test drive but there was rattling sounds from the front. The mechanic just replaced the front stabilizer links.

Is that going to be a problem?

Seems like you got a good deal, did you figure out the delay in shifting?

No, unfortunately. My mechanic said he didn't notice any problems so i'll drive it as is.

Do you mean paying a shop to change them or doing them yourself?

I'll do it myself.

The gas on the vehicle dies fast but I believe thats because the spark plugs needs to be replaced. It takes the engine 2-3 revs to start the car up. I already did all the other fluid changes.

I'd put NGK or Denso in, and the price ranges from 2.59-11.99 a plug (depending on what you want).

Should take about an hour tops to change them, unless I'm thinking of a different engine.

That sounds about right. Rip the plastic valve cover off, pop coil packs off, unscrew and reverse. Super easy. Just make sure all the gaps are correct before throwing everything together. I can't see the pics, at work on a Gov't computer, so I can't tell if it's an ATX or MTX. If you still have that shift lag, get a flush done to the tranny and throw some new fluid in there. Could just be old fluid and not flowing as well as it should.

Thanks to those people who posted! Everyone has been very informative.

@KillerZX2 I already changed the transmission fluid a week ago. Didn't solve the problem. I'm thinking about throwing some "Lucas Transmission Fix" into the transmission.

- Also, the air filter is really dirty and I'm going to buy the K&N filter cleaner to clean off all the dirty thats been there since day one. I'm trying to find the best way to get to the air filter. I believe that the bumper needs to be removed along with the headlight? I don't want to depart it because I'm afraid I'll mess something up.

- I just changed the spark plugs to some new NGK plugs on the 14th but that didn't solve the problem of the slow gear change.. I'm taking everything step by step.

P.S, I will take some new photos soon.
