Default tC Leather Appointed Seats

I'm looking to buy a white tC by summer. I just wanted some opinions if the leather seats are worth it for $1200. does it look nice?

Yeah, I've been wondering that too. I didn't see "leather seats" as an accessory in scion.com. At the dealership, the salesman did mention it to me though. I hope it's not like those fake leather seats -- the ones that are basically a big bag of leather and they just wrap it around the existing chairs. Now that I mentioned it what are Scion tC seats made out of?

The leather seats offered for the tC are very nice. They are made by Katzskin. I sat in one at the dealer with them and was very impressed. I believe they also do the material on the door panels as well. I am not a big fan of the maintenance of leather, but loved the way they looked and felt. I have still been tempted to go get them. If I am not mistaken, you can order the katzskin and install yourself (at least you can for some other vehicles. You just have to remove the covers that come factory and install the leather... it takes a bit of patience though! I would just get them at the dealer with the car.

Do the ones from the dealer come all black or can you get them in two tone?

forget dealers dude. They are $800 installed in any half descent upholstery place. Just get a kit from Katzkins and have it installed anywhere. Dealership do the same thing. Get the kit and have someone install it; however, instead of charging you $800, they will make additional $400 on you.

Leather seats are not a normal option. What some dealers do is take brand new tCs that aren't on order for anybody and put the leather seats in as a way to make a few extra bucks. I personally have black leather that's styled to look like the factory seats with the Scion logo stitched in and I think they were well worth the extra money I spent on them.

The leather...they had at the dealer...just didnt feel right... it looked weak..

I think the one from Katskinz (sp?) would be pretty dope... not all dealers get it from there...I agree the sueded leather is off the hinges!

They do Seats, door panels, center console, rear side panels, etc. And it's full Leather, even the backs of the front seats. I got Black on Black Leather with Suede inserts.
