Default SSD aluminum engine cover

Hi all! New here, here's the first mod to our 2012 xB... An SSD Performance aluminum engine cover. These are pics from their website but ours is the same. It comes bare aluminum so we had it painted black to match our new xB.
Before painting....

After painting...

What a difference it makes under the hood and less than a hundred buck too!

Hopefully the first of many mods!

I'm diggin the old-school silver look but, for $99, I'd hope that CMPC would clear powder coat it. What do you say?

And if you'd offer custom laser cutting of a "logo" of your choosing...

Your product line currently specializes toward Soul's but, if you want a share of xB-modding cash, design a nice clean NON-OVERLAY set of grills for '11-12 xBs and run 'em on your laser cutter. Don't forget the two bumper vents, either.

I offer you these marketing ideas in good faith to ramp up your business and I'd surely beta-test and review such

Thanks for the feedback GD but honestly, I'm really not here to promote or market stuff. We have made mainly hand fabricated Soul products in the past but now that I have a new xB (my personal car) that I really like, we'll probably be producing some stuff for it but again, that's not why I'm here. This engine cover really is the first mod I've had a chance to do. I've REALLY enjoyed being a part of a couple of Kia forums, we've had a chance to meet and sometimes even work with some of the nicest folks I've ever met and now that I have a new xB, I hope to have that same positive experience here in this community. I'm always looking for new ideas of course but more than that, I'm looking forward to visiting with you folks about xB's. At any rate, I welcome any of you to PM or email me about the business stuff if you'd like to chat or have some fun ideas or suggestions but if I read the rules correctly, the forum is not the place since I'm not a paying vendor here so I'll be more than happy to visit with you all via PM or email.

I dont like it with the stock exhaust but a turbo manifold would look pretty cool. Custom engraving would be even .the more I look at it the more I like it. Looks way better than just painting the stock cover.

Yea I like the Idea...BUT it looks like the lid of a Tool Box was slapped onto the Valve cover.

I dont like how a circular hole was cut out for the Oil Cap and its sitting inside a hole look.

Maybe put my Depth into the top or something more dynamic I guess...Kinda hard to explain

I see what he's saying. A powdercoated valve cover with the Doctor Isotope coil cover looks a lot better.
This looks nice, but it's kind of big and bulky.

Thanks! This cover should fit the 2005-2009 tC 2.4 Liter as well.

Also... for anyone interested, they are now available in black powder coat as well at no extra charge with your choice of matte black, red or silver graphics.

I know! I'm from SLO and sometimes I wish I was back there.

Seriously, you never know, we may get that opprortunity soon. What other scions use the same engine as yours? I'll be on the lookout.
