i just ordered a 42 piece aluminum dash kit for my tc. just wondering if anyone had installed the aluminum one yet. i know people have done the cf but i didn't really love the way it looked. pictures??
i have been waiting for that myself... i would like to see GOOD pictures..closeups.... of the kit installed... the ebay pics are not good enough to see what it looks like against the dash factory finish... and i really dont want to spend $120 just to find out how it looks..

exactly-i just ordered it for $99. i got it cuz i have a scratch on the silver piece next to the temp guages. its not that big but it annoys the ____ outta me. i'll use the other pieces that look good like the ones for the cupholders, the doors, & maybe the ac vent ones. the ones i don't think will good i guess i won't even bother using. at least the dash kit'll cover it up my scratch and might even look nice. i just couldn't stand to put the carbon fiber one on. i'm not a fan of cf all over the car. i got the pillar things on the outside & that's the most cf i want near my car.
here's the link to the one i bought, which doesn't show a pic of it on the tc:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1
the description for the one i got isn't right. says 37 pieces, but it's the same exact one as the 42 piece set. they just made a mistake. same exact kit but this guy sells it $20 cheaper than other people.
the other one:

also-forgot to add. supposedly there is a 100% lifetime warranty/guarantee. According to them:
"We guarantee the trim never to fade, crack or delaminate during the lifetime of your car. We provide lifetime warranty on every single kit"
my only prob with this kinda dash kit stuff is that it ends up peeling off and fading and just generally looking like ____ after a while. my friend had the wood looking one on his accord and after like 3 years it looked so ghetto and cheap. if they're guaranteeing that these kits won't fade or peel apart like the old ones i figured for like a 100 something dollars, might as well give it a shot. might actually look pretty nice. aluminum look, so it'd go well with the controls on the car and center console already. fake wood i think would look cheap and crappy. cf is kinda ricey if it's all over the place.
