Default Need Advice to trade my tC 1G for a 2G or Keep

To start out I've been recently in the pursuit of boost as many of you know currently my car is an:

2007 tC
96k miles
5 speed

TRD LSD, MEGAN RACING CN EXHAUST, INJEN CAI, UNORTHODOX PULLEYS, ARK SHORT THROW, BLOX SHIFT ****, TEIN SSP COILOVERS,
MENG 10k HID Hi and low, VRD FOGS & UPPER GRILL, UNICHIP, CLUTCHMASTERS STAGE 2 CLUTCH,SHORTY ANTENNA, 5zigen FN01R-C 17x7 RIMS BLOX LUGS

Anyways I owe 6,XXX on it pay $400 a month and I'm thinking of trading for a brand new 2nd gen tC and pursuing boost with it on a brand New motor
and tranny rather than on mine with almost 100k miles on it thoughts opinions am I an idiot for wanting to trade or not doing it sooner

I would say hold out. You're young. Save the money and upgrade out of the tC.

Just love the Scions great car for the $ the Subie are nice but gas mileage isn't the greatest and they are expensive I'd rather not spend 25-35 on a car stock

25-35k for AWD & boost with MUCH more room to grow. Not to mention i pay the same monthly that i did for my old tC and insurance is MUCH MUCH cheaper then the tC was with just liability and my Subbie is full cover.

Gas isn't horrible either. you plan on going boost no? your still gonna spend on gas. 17 gallo Subbie tank with plug and play cobb and different tunes to make it gas friendly (Eco mode)

Just my opinion.

That is true a lot more room to go Im gonna go look tomorrow maybe ill hit up the Subie dealer and see right now I pay $100 a month full coverage on my 07 tC but
I'm only 20 with a good record wonder if a Subie would be cheaper and yes I am planning on boosting a car or buying one already boosted my problem is the new tC is 19,800
new Subie is 28,000 big price diff

19,800 for a stock tC not boosted add another 10k for the boost with install and upkeep for it. I rather have a STi boosted tbh. I love the tC2 but if i had a chance to upgrade/trade it i would do it in a heartbeat

Right but it comes down to 19,800 and slowly buy the pieces for my boost or drop 28,000 at once and I'd like to keep my payment what it is now $400 a month and just trade and finance no down payment there's noway I could do they on 28k

If you like the 2G then get it. Otherwise trying to throw numbers around financially tells me you know it's not the smartest decision.

Because you could wait after paying your car off to save money for something better instead of trying to get instant gratification.

I had a Subaru and while it was a nice car, it was boring. Just because its fast doesn't make it exciting. In addition, the motor in the Subaru is crap.

I had 4 Scions, bought a new Subaru WRX, and traded it in 18 months later for another Scion.

keep your first gen

I'm still on the fence about it all I really like the 2G and my car doesn't always shift as smoothly as I would like either kinda worried about transmission issues downshifting from 4th to 5th is rough sometimes and so is 3rd to 2nd and being out of warranty worries me
