Well next month it will be 8 years on original battery. I'm so torn, should I get a new battery or see how far I can go. I've never had a battery last so long.

We had some really cold weather here in PA this winter and it still cranked over fairly good. Nothing that made me worry.

Anyone esle with an 05 with original battery?

2005, almost 165,000 miles on the original battery. I'm in Mass, cold too - it was a little slow to crank over a few days ago when the temp was single digits, but no problems otherwise.

 

Depends on the level of security youre looking for. You know its getting near the ends of its life. Is $100 worth knowing your car will start and you wont freeze?

 

I have 105,000 miles. Decided to get a new battery this weekend. Going to have them check it just to see how much juice it has left.
