Had keys stolen to TC
Actually one key was stolen at work recently and the other my roommate lost a year ago.
I called a local toyota delaership and they told me that a new key is $250 and to program it is an additional $350.
I don't have the 600 to spare and I was wondering if there are any workarounds to the immobilizer. I know this may sound sketchy but I live in LA and need my car. I'm also afraid of my car being towed where it is currently parked.
If I had realized that it was so steep I would've forked over money sooner to buy a new key. I had thought it wouldn't be more than 2-300 to replace the key.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I find myself in quite the dilemma.
Thank you all.
