What dealer are you getting your xB from? I need to call them and warn them about a future warranty claim for your transmission and brakes

The ONLY way to burn out in an Auto xB is to neutral drop it, and I don't recommend doing that AT ALL. Donuts are impossible since it's FWD, but you could do spins by pulling up the e-brake.

Hell, I can't even burnout in my auto tC.

1 foot on the brake and 1 on the gas.

Say goodbye to your brakes.

To add effect cover the ground with bleach.

The smoke will be amazing to the point of choking yourself.

I have an auto xB aswell.

My brother takes the burnout thing very seriously. He can do a burnout with anything, and trust me, I've seen it!

Sometimes this works, it depends what surface your on. I've tried it and it works on concrete and pavement.

Put left foot on brake (fully depressed) and place your other foot over the gas. Then with your left foot on the brake, rev your engine upto about 3,000. Then immediately get off the brake and floor it. A quick way would've been to hit up the E-Brake, but the scion E-Brake doesn't lock up the rear tires.

The other way is to turn your steering wheel to one side (perfferably left, you won't slide as far) and just floor it. It gives you a nice squeel.

Also, don't bother turning off the "TRAC" b/c its just a light on your dash, its always on.

A few years ago, my brother experimented with ways to do better burnouts with his twin turbo diesel Ram 3500 Dually. He infact took a windsheild "washer" hose and then had it go out right infront of the rear tire, in the wheel well. When he pushed a button, it lightly sprayed the rear tires with soap and water mixed. It worked very well!

There is serious money to be made in burnout competitions...there is also serious consequences. I don't recommend doing burnouts with a scion, but it can be done.

The bleech thing works, try it with gasoline and you'll have yourself a redneck barbeque!

Man, you're kidding right? You bought the wrong car, with the wrong tranny, for the wrong reason.
Do your car a favor and sell it. Buy yourself a Honda. :eyebrow:

my vote for worst post EVAR!

1. why do you want to do a burnout in a 100hp.... automatic.... front wheel drive... econo-box.

2. your stock goodyears dont get stickier when you heat them up, they get oily and slick.

3. even if it did improve traction, you're not going anywhere... you've got 100hp remember?

3. if you need attention so bad, try lighting yourself on fire.

4. im sending a copy of this thread to your parents. it's for your own good.

5. set yourself on fire.

Wow, I was laughing hard at that one! The best trays I know of are the ones from Mc Donalds, they are really sturdy. I had a freind do the tray drifting thing a while back, it was hilarious.

come on, go easy on the kid...
i'm pretty sure everyone has tried to burnout in the wrong car at least once in their lifetime.
my previous car was a 97 corolla auto...yeah, it could barely spin the tires if it was pouring rain, but hey, i would at least have fun trying.
anyways, good luck on your burnout quest with your auto xB...i wouldn't get it to do anything when i test drove one. i have no problem spinning the tires on my 5 speed tC.
also, i totally wouldn't recommend it, unless you don't mind buying new CV joints when they split in half..
enjoy your car for it's great looks, versitility, and gas mileage

you can burn out in anything....
just get a brake lock kit...
FWD- lock the back brakes
RWD- lock the front brakes

i remember someone telling me that..
but yea... burning rubber costs money
if you have it... why not share some here!?

The only time I have been able to do a "burnout" was at the drag strip, I put the front end in the watter, turned off the trac, and kept the rear on dry and pulled up the e-brake . It accually worked, but not for a long time.

Don’t laugh …………….. (ok, go ahead, everyone else does). Here is pictures of our 9th annual Easter egg smash. After the kids collect the eggs we burn out on top of them. It all started back in 96’ when we didn’t know what to do with all the eggs. I had a 96 Impala SS back then and got this bright idea of smelling up the neighborhood with the smell of burning rubber and eggs on exhaust pipes. It’s been a hit ever since. We do it with a different car every year. The automatic xB did just fine! This year we didn’t even hide the eggs. The kids just sprayed them with rattle cans from the garage and lined them up.

I forgot about the Trac control on those eggs on the 1st pass. Almost thought that we might have to switch to the old truck. Then, shut down the Trac control and it was back to making stinky egg scramble. We usually smell rotten eggs for about 3-4 days afterwards......still worth it!
