Default Installing injen ram air intake

Quick question. OK I know this is a dumb question but I know nothing about machanics.

Got a injen ram air intake. My pro machanic said $95 install my buddy who kinda knows what hes doing said hed do it for a case of beer.

Is there anyway he could damage anything? Could he drop a bolt in the intake and the bolt go all the way into the engine n destroy the entire motor or something dumb or is that not possible?

If installation poses no potential danger to the car I will let him play with it if not I will just pay the $95.

Haha

Its pretty simple, if he has a basic knowledge he should be ok to do the install on the intake (since its a short ram)...... just give him the case of beer AFTER he installs it!!! lol

make sure the MAF sensor stays intact and doesn't get damaged. It'll take a while for the KAM to respond to the new data. Have whoever installs it, check the condition of the throttle body while they're at it.

Yes, a bolt can drop in your manifold and get sucked into a valve, and you'd definitely be done for the day.

However, if you drop a bolt into the your manifold, you will know it, and you will grab it, via a magnet or whatever. There is no way anyone is going to drop a bolt in there and leave it, and if you are working with someone that might, I do not suggest working with that individual. I can respect your concern and lack of knowledge, that was all of us at one point, however, this is ridiculous and will not happen. Get 'em the beer.

Was super easy lol We did it in literally under 30 minutes.

I love the injen intake. Gets rid of boggyness significantly. Not positive if it really makes more power or not but defiantly makes the driving experience better. Worth every penny. I highly recommend the ram air injen.
