cut the end off of your seatbelt, then stick it in the buckle.

Wow - I can't believe someone seriously asked this :P Buckle up, dude :)

I can't believe he thought the seat icons were upside down 7's!

Seriously though--take it to the dealership and have it checked out, as there is probably something wrong with your sensors in the seat belt harness.

UNLESS--you don't buckle up...then please, buckle up dude.

It is my observation that he was making a joke... He knows that is the seatbelt light ;P .. He was just trying to ask how to unhook the light in a comical way... I would also like to know how to fix it so the light never blinks... Also the passanger one... I only wear my seatbelt while driving on the interstate, so any time I am just cruising or whatever, I have that damn light blinking in my face.... That silly red man with no arms and an upside-down 7.

honestly, there is a sensor under the seat that makes the passenger light go on when someone sits there. You can probably just unplug it. But then the pasenger airbag wont go off in a crash.

No passanger air bag, eh? Well, what's one less passenger to the world?

I haven't checked but you should be able to unplug it. I did it on 2 other cars cuz they would make buzzing noises every 3 minutes if you didn't wear the belt. Check for a plug

just give the passenger seat a good punch in the middle of the bottom cushion...someone else had that problem a few months back and that's how he fixed it. I guess the sensor gets stuck????

although this is not the answer u want...
i still want to say...

"seatbelts save your life."

p.s. in hk, most of the police vehicles have that sticker on the door

if u really don't want to use ur seatbelt, just go to any junkyard and get some seatbelt ends like RANDY SAID, and just cut them off the belt and click them into yours

if u cross the correct 2 wires the sensor will close the circuit(or open it) so that the car thinks the seatbelt has been fastened.

That was good... Almost as good as the blond who walks into an auto parts store looking for a replacment 710 cap for her engine.

Think about it....[/img]

Here's a joke I heard arpound the shops. sounds almost like this topic.

A woman goes to a shop looking for 710 for her car! Took a while for them to relize she was looking at her oil cap upside down and needed OIL not 710!
Not sure if it is true or not. 8)

You can uplug the passenger one under the seat and that will be gone! For the driver

side the are alot more wires, about 7 or 8. Find the three wires that are going to the

selt belt part of the seat. If you clip on of the wires the seat belt light will never come

on again, if you mess up than the air bag light comes on, but it's ok, just hook that

wire back up and try one of the other two till you get it right. Also to reset the main

instrument cluster just take the key out of the ignition for about five sec. and

then try again!

I have a better solution, but it involves a little work everytime you get in your car. Everytime you sit, reach with your right arm up over your left side, pull the strap with a metal end and latch that metal end into the reciever down by the brake handle (switch left and right for passenger side). This will disable the light and might save your life.

he was just being sarcastic, but yeah buckle up its the law in cali, or gat fined up to 400.00.

Seriously though. how can I disable this warning in a non-traditional manner?
hehe.

How's about a little square of black tape on the instrument panel... That's sorta non-traditional.

With the instrument panel in the center and how low the xB sits, the cops can probably see the warning light on if they pull up behind you.

You'd probably be better off wearing it around town when you are going too slow for the airbag and more likely to get plowed by some soccer mom in her semi tractor trailer SUV. I know, I know, It's your a$$ but I had to say it...
