Default TRD exhaust or single Borla

Hi Guys, I was thinking of getting an exhaust. I wanted it to sound nice but yet not to loud when in cruising mode or low rpms under 3 thousand. And also don't want to be annoyed with the constant sound when taking long road trips lol. I heard both on youtube already. Borla sounds nice when gassed, but trd sounds super stock. Help me out lol

Check out the Tsudo exhaust system. It's system goes all the way to the scuba and not axle. The sound is throaty and not raspy. It's cheaper too. You will only hear it on wide open throttle. Only problem is if you are lowered, you might scrape the exhaust on driveways etc.

if you want just a tone swap out axle back... you want some lil performance you need to go catback or even replace with header. i say go header then work on the exhaust part till you are happy.... i personally have a scuba tank delete replaced with a glasspack and i like the sound but on WOT the intake takes over

x2 Tsudo all the way!!!!! TRD and Borla are just way too over priced! Have the Tsudo since 2008 and just love it!!!

The Tsudo N1 style exhaust sounds great too! It has a burnt blue tip that makes look good too IMO.

bahh, tsudo canister is too large, I will scrape on every drive way. I think I will just stick to stock and get headers. thanks all for your recommendations

Another route to go is going to your local muffler ship and getting them to make you one identical to the trd or borla haha just need the dimensions

You are right about the Tsudo canister being too big. I'm lowered and it I have to crawl to dead stop to not scrape or hit it. I think I will get a TRD sport muffler and call it a day.

Thought this might interest you. I guess MoreJapan is having a sale and a Tanabe xB exhaust is one of the items up for sale.

I have the strup exhaust. It has a good tone to it when getting on the gas. Can't hear it just cruising around town or highway. Have to be careful with headers. Fellow xB2 put a 4-1 header on and it sounded terrible. Not sure which exhaust he was running.

i have a borla on my tc and i always get complimented on the growl. Also its not too loud on long car rides, but my only complaint is that im always getting challenged to races when i just want to cruise.

Yea borla is great but on a tC you get the muffler and tip. For the xB its just a pipe with a tip, go to any muffler shop to have it made.

I installed the Borla cat back myself back in 2009 and love it. Nice growl when you crank it or get on it, doesnt bother you on the hwy. 66k miles on it now.
