Enkei RPF1, 17x8, 35mm offset, 15.6 lbs, come with aluminum valve stems.

Hancook, R-S2, Ultra High Performance, summer tires, great in the rain as well,
235/40/17, a bit heavy at 24.24 lbs each.

Lug nuts, short "tuner" locking lug nuts, 2 lbs lighter per set than the stock nuts!!!


To come in under 40 lbs for that wide a wheel and tire is still very very good!!!!

Will post more feedback on them when I get the chance, very little weight needed to balance these, that is a deffinate sign of quality.

i got exactly the same setup.. i just got 17X 8 Black Racing PRO N1 with 35 offset and same size tire except mine are pirelli p7000s.. heheh im on stechs.. i get a lil rub here and there

Hawk, Great looking wheels:) I did not see those listed in that size anywhere, how much do they weight? I imagine not bad at all so would be good to know for advising others about them.

I had the same Enkei's on my Matrix with 235/40/17 V700 R compounds and even when slammed all the way down never rubbed, only 37 total pounds per corner then.

Squirrel, Thanks, seems one more of us converts on here, how many do you know of now? Stereo will be sweet, a bit stealthy, fairly high powered, super high end speakers and processors, computer based, etc, etc. Sub system is in and a real banger. 15" Arc with an xxk2500, very loud, very good real musical bass, just the way I like it.

My daughter still has it but most likely getting a black tC soon, she thinks my blue one looks like a chicks car, lol! She wants to boost hers as well as have a comp audio install and autox, drag race, etc, in it, just like us:):):)

Post them pictures Rick! Those are some light wheels. I am looking into Volks right now but I am going with either 18's or 19's.

P.S. Looks like I'll manage to complete my system by 22nd of this month (IASCA comp) so I will post pictures of it once done :D

word with the autocrossers is that the R-S2 are "the new ____"
used to be Kumho escta mx, then falken azenis, now the R-S2...
I'm probably going to grab a set with the Zigen FN01R that come out to about 15.6 lbs as well...

Great, another one that has it figured out, really mean it, cool!!!!!!

I looked really hard at all the wheel options for real performance, not much available for us and my friends at Enkei graciously sponsored us again.

Not a bad thing, I love the great wheels we have from them, RPF1, same design as their real F1 wheels, a direct tie to the top racing technology in the world.

post pics I'm thinking of geting the same wheel rpfi but i well get them 17"-7" with 48 or 42 offset in front and 18"-8 with a 35 offset in back so it keeps the front wheels light

I have not taken any pics yet due to the weather but had them on since last Monday, sure look sweet even without being dropped yet, fill out the wheel wells nicely.

Tires are incredible, they are the new hot ticket in SCCA autocross I have heard and I can believe it, have not had them in the rain but supposed to be great in it, they will be my rain autocross tires. We are going to get another set for the same wheels for our R compound tires for dry weather autocross(road track as well).

Fatb_o_y, I just have to say I do not agree with your plan in the least for serveral reasons, no offense meant but possibly you have not thought of this.

1) You need more front grip than rear, if anything they should almost be swapped with the wider ones up front(but smaller diameter to save more weight.

2) You may suffer some serious handling issues, cause it to push worse than a front drive already does.

3)Though it may look cool in some ways the fronts will be tucked just like the stock wheels are now.

4)This fad of wider, taller, etc, wheels on the back of a front drive car is another one of those things in the import world that just does not make any sense from a performance perspective.

BUT, it is your car, do as you will, just stating my opinions and some truths;)

Lots of good questions here and some great answers:)

Try Discount tire. I got my wheels from Enkei but had then shipped to a Discount store in the San Diego area and had them do mount the tires and balance them correctly then ship them to me. Seems rather complicated but I have my reasons;)

I would get wider than 7's just to have wider tires, looks better and more rubber on the ground is better:)

For a 7" the best offset would be around a +30, not likely to find that.

7.5" wide would be a +32 or 33, not much available.

8" wide wheels, +35 is really nice:)

F1 uses 13" wheels or something crazy like that, the PRF1 is the same style but manf like BBS wheels, very good by the way. The F1 wheels are forged Magnesium, very costly.
