Do any of you else feel like I do about the doors?? They open up to wide and are heavy.....

 

if this your first coupe? b/c most coupe's doors are heavier than sedans.

 

No it's not. I had a 1987 celica and a 1995 camry. The tc doors seem way different then either ot those 2.

 

i agree, wen i first got the car to wash it, the doors were frikkin glong. but now im used to it

 

I hate it when people swing my doors open with force or slam it. They are so heavy it feels like they will break off the hinges sometimes. Oh and I feel bad for people who get their doors hit by a tC door. I would imagine with its weight, it would cause an enormous ding/dent.

 

it does feel heavier like a bmw door, but gives it a solid & secure feel.

 

its large and its painful to get out of small parking spaces and when you have 6'3" legs, its like im trying to crawl out of a small cavern.

but i just look at it when i park and know its worth it.

I'd prefer light ones where I can hear everything through. Sturdy + insulation = teh SUCK!

 

I happen to like them like they are, this is my first coupe, and I like the doors. But I do have to be careful when I park close to someone.

 

Compared to the doors on the 76 Grad prix I had in high school the the tc doors are a feather. I think the whole tc might weight as much as 1 of the doors on the grand prix. :D

 

oh wow a 76 grand prix.. i once hit one of those with my old mustang.. not much left of my mustang.. lol..

but seriously.. the tC doors are heavy but for a big guy like myself they aren't a problem.. i like how hefty they are

 

I love their size, and weight. It makes me cringe though, if someone slams them, the sound is loud, so I've been making people use "soft hands."

 

I didnt think they are that heavy. but I guess im use to heavy doors. my 2000 mustang had kinda heavy doors too. but really, the heavier the better. it just means its more safe and soundproof. when a Subarban hits you on the side one day, youll be happy your doors were heavy and strong.

 

i like it heavy and solid...but it does open too wide, be very careful when open doors!

 

The weight is probably the ONLY reason I have not put lambo doors on my car... this is my first coupe so I'm not used to the whole long door thing but yeah.. everybody who gets in my car says my doors are heavy

Doors are definitely heavy...but thats not the problem....

They open too wide and if you have a passenger.... (i.e. friend...girlfriend....mistress) make sure to warn them...or else u might get a busted door

 

oh my gosh you are right about the warning. That could be a bad thing....

 

Be careful with the doors on a windy day too. Just because they are heavy doesn't mean the wind wont slam them into the car next to you!!

 

Yeah, it makes me want to pop the hood and stand by my car.
